Kanye West, the rap superstar who stunned the left by declaring President Trump "his brother," has better reasons than might be imagined for defying Hollywood and going over to the redside: He dealt with President Obama up close.
And what he found - and has now revealed - is that Obama was an incredibly selfish jerk.
According to Pajamas Media's Megan Fox, who ventured into the depths of the rap music press, Kanye told an interviewer known as 'Charlemagne':
"You see, Obama came to me before he ran for office and he met with me and my mother to let me know he was going to run for office because I was his favorite artist of all time," he said. West detailed that Obama asked him for his support and he agreed.
But after West interrupted Taylor Swift on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 which he apologized for immediately Obama cut off support and was even caught on film calling West a "jackass."

Obama: me,me,me,my,my,my,I,I,I
Nobody had to reveal that Obama is a selfish jerk.
That is self-evident.
Being a little kind today eh?
I can't wait until when a lot more people wake up and see with their own eyes what the prog-libs have done to destroy everything and everybody around them while smiling through their teeth.
I’m no fan but it’s is a chance to see how Zero behaves behind the scenes when nobody is watching. No surprise to this freeper.
One must not look backwards for truth.
When considering Kanye West and perhaps even his wife, one must consider the future.
Kanye is growing old. He made his mark and his pile. The prospect of continuing for ever is most unlikely. As one ages, as various changes both personal and professional take place, there is a change in viewpoint among all but the most iconoclastic. (they actually get worse)
I would argue that Kanye has had a glimpse of a future where his luster is dimmed, even tarnished, as he is replaced by newer talent.
Along with that realization, he can see unequivocally that the black Americans have been duped. He can easily switch from idol to leader.
That is what he is doing.
Kanye openly criticizing the Obamatollah!
Democrats will not be pleased.
He is certain to be permanently outcast now!
A certain person I know that liked/likes Obama has on more than one occasion said Obama’s “demeanor” was something they liked.
His view did not change when I informed him that Obama’s public demeanor was entirely scripted. He had an assistant that lined up his entire day with him, how he would dress, how he would stand, how he would greet others, when he would smile, show courtesy, pose, turn, walk, stand - entire image production. I warned him that such a scripted public image for someone says nothing about how they really are.
This is why there are many ex-Democrats like myself who left the party for good and have no regrets over it. Any American with a sense of decency and is able to use common sense cant be a Democrat. Everything about that party is based on lies and flat out hate!
Nobody had to but it’s helpful coming from Kanye as a message and statement to Black Americans. Good for Mr. West.
I agree. I never understood why people thought Obama was likable or cool. From the very beginning he struck me as a smart-a$$, self-absorbed punk. And my opinion of him got steadily worse over time.
En Vogue, Spice Girls. Created by record executives to sell a product. Even Madonna. Pretty good dancer but can she really sing? The left won’t realize they’ve been lied to because they enjoy it, especially women.
That’s what happens when you are constantly told how “special” and “smart” you are. Obama is David Hogg, 20 years from now. He was unquestionably the most unqualified President, we’ve ever had. He never passed or sponsored any meaningful piece legislation in the Senate and everything he touched as President, turned to crap.
“Obama was an incredibly selfish jerk.”
I’m shocked! /s
He is an arrogant idiot who stammers and stumbles without a teleprompter.
Without the Ministry of Propaganda and the assistance of the GOP he never would have pulled off the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
Is Kanye a superstar? Well 187 million YouTube views for One Song isn’t piker territory. A net worth of 160 million didn’t just happen to happen either.
I cannot remember a single speech that Obama did (that I could listen to) where he did not say “I” at least scores of times. He was self-centered, a textbook example of a narcissist. Quite possibly a pathological liar, who actually BELIEVES his own lies. The worst kind.
I have never appreciated Kayne West or his music, especially not his music, but that is my own taste. I simply took his public statements as being in line with his music, and didn’t pay any attention to much of anything he ever did.
But I believe the black community is in need of leadership, and the likes of sports figures and artists generally can’t provide that, IMO. People like Allen West, Clarence Thomas, and Thomas Sowell can, but they have to fight an uphill battle against the prevailing “black culture” that characterizes quality people like them as “Uncle Toms” at best, and far more venomous appellations, at worst.
Admiral Chester Nimitz, one of my favorite military and historic figures, was known to say “Every dog deserves a second bite”.
I think we on the right should offer Kayne West a first bite. People can change and come around. Some of us were on the right track at birth. Some of us got on track with age. And some had to get mugged to get on the right track.
Being able to re-examine your stances on things and change your mind about them is something meaningful to me in a positive way. That he can point out the critical issue of black-on-black violence at the risk of his entertainment career indicates he can indeed provide leadership.
