WASHINGTON Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating Russias election interference, has at least four dozen questions on an exhaustive array of subjects he wants to ask President Trump to learn more about his ties to Russia and determine whether he obstructed the inquiry itself, according to a list of the questions obtained by The New York Times.
[Read the questions here.]
The open-ended queries appear to be an attempt to penetrate the presidents thinking, to get at the motivation behind some of his most combative Twitter posts and to examine his relationships with his family and his closest advisers. They deal chiefly with the presidents high-profile firings of the F.B.I. director and his first national security adviser, his treatment of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and a 2016 Trump Tower meeting between campaign officials and Russians offering dirt on Hillary Clinton.
But they also touch on the presidents businesses; any discussions with his longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, about a Moscow real estate deal; whether the president knew of any attempt by Mr. Trumps son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to set up a back channel to Russia during the transition; any contacts he had with Roger J. Stone Jr., a longtime adviser who claimed to have inside information about Democratic email hackings; and what happened during Mr. Trumps 2013 trip to Moscow for the Miss Universe pageant.

Yeah, I think it’s far fetched that Mueller would leak these like this. This is coming from someone else who’s trying to inject some adrenaline into the Russia narrative which they sense is petering out. In fact, I wonder if this may be someone who has lost confidence in Mueller to go after Trump as aggressively as they would like. Their thinking is, if Mueller isn’t going to use these questions against Trump in a high profile way, let’s get them to the media who will. In other words if Mueller’s going wobbly we’ll bypass him and let the media press the case. This also explains Mueller’s somewhat odd admonishment to the media last week about misrepresenting him. That is now looking preemptive. Mueller saw this coming. It’s probably one of his team or someone familiar with his thinking/planning. If this is true, then this leak is a desperation move and represents big dissension in the their ranks and is a positive sign.
How is it, that the NYT is in possession of Mueller’s questions?
I agree. That so many are involved in different agencies & no whistleblower amazes me. It must be nice to not have a conscience. I dont know how they can sleep at night.
And dont answer all the questions that fall under executive privilege.
You are absolutely right. A year and a half and Mueller has nothing. Hes drilled a duster and its time to shut this down.
I think this news article by the NYT has already been debunked as FAKE NEWS!
The whole thing is about getting Trump. Period.
Mueller, p!ss up a rope. The same one you are hanging yourself with.
How queer. Comeystain leaked.
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) released a 48 page report on Mueller that reveals his corrupt background.
I hope Trump answers all the questions - with, ‘I don’t recollect’...
So you're suggesting he take the 5th despite that?
How about Trump agreeing to an interview if it’s broadcast on live television?
To each question:
“Asked and answered, counselor. Open source.”
Now that the list of questions are in the open, take those questions and give it to a psychologist to see if the questions were set up and customized in a way to trap Trump.
If that is the case, then not only do you fire Mueller, you bring him up on charges of sedition. Then you find out who wrote the questions and bring that person up on charges of sedition.
A very good point.
How about we post 47 questions to Mule-r, Comey, Lynch, Holder, Clinton, Power, 0bama, et al that we’d like answered under oath?
Sedition? Dream On. Pleasant Dreams. Who is the “you” who’ll bring sedition charges against Mueller and whoever wrote the questions. Not President Trump. The DOJ would have to bring charges after an investigation, but it won’t.
You go with your FEELINGS. You are RILED up.
The solution does not lie in what your feelings say...
