Florida and Texas are the two states expected to suffer the greatest economic damage from climate change, according to a new study from Science magazine.
The study used a model that aimed to calculate the future impact on each states gross domestic product (GDP) from events including hurricanes, storm surges, changes in agricultural yields, changing electricity demands, changes in mortality rates, changes to the labor supply, rising sea levels and rising crime rates.
The study comes amid a concerted effort by climate activists to help the U.S. meet the goals of the Paris Accord of limiting temperature change to below 2 degrees Celsius by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. That goal has been put at risk by President Donald Trumps decision to withdraw the U.S. from the treaty.

Hypothetical BS.
Right since climate change is so local and all.
I read the article, but it didn’t say over what time frame the losses would occur. Without a specific time frame, their study cannot empirically tested. I wonder if they intended it that way.
This is pure speculation bordering on daydreaming.
More horsesh!t!!!!
I’m a little leery of big things like that that can’t be undone, especially if the government is involved.
Wind from the East, Fish bite least.
Wind from the South, blows the hook out of their mouth.
Wind from the West, Fish bite best. :)
Wind from the North, few Sailors set forth.
I agree regarding this being one of the coolest Springs in the DFW area. I’m a night owl in Grapevine and haven’t used a/c this season. I have used a couple of small electric heaters late at night and early a.m., though. Being in my mid-70s, I now understand why my grandparents kept their houses too warm for me.
Please deciminate this doomsday report, as widely as you can, to every known Looney Liberal in Texas.
If we get very lucky, maybe they will pack up and move to a safer state.
Oh, I'm sure there will be plenty of hard evidence needed before any such action was taken, but I am also sure that the damage of a real Ice Age would be more than sufficient to justify the attempt.
Yeah. Hopefully we’ll be long gone before it becomes an issue.
