Famous civil rights leader Jesse Jackson has set his sights on Kroger after stores closed in a predominantly black neighborhood. He came to Cincinnati, where Kroger is headquartered, to call for a boycott. Jackson is calling for a boycott after three of Kroger's stores recently closed in Tennessee. About 100 people gathered to listen to Jackson at the shuttered Walnut Hills store. Dailey also said Kroger is providing a free shuttle service for Walnut Hills senior citizens to another Kroger store about a mile away. Kroger is also building a new store downtown which can serve many inner city residents.

Stupid.
Kroger is already boycotting the inner city because there is no business opportunity there....
I thought he was dead? /sar
Most likely they were shoplifted to death.
Any grocery chain worth it’s salt has been doing the same for decades.
The ones that don’t quickly go under.
‘Cause they keep gettin’ robbed?
Well that should keep the shoplifting down.
Is calling for a boycott of Jesse Jackson rayciss?
I’m heading out to shop there in that case.
Is Jesse running short of funds ?
Brilliant Jesse, Brilliant
Maybe The good Rev. Jackson can open his own store in the hood and show us how it’s done.
I’m sure there are plenty of liquor stores there.
A grocery store is closing on April 20 about 1 mile away from me. Even though it is closer I never cared for it due to parking, getting back to my place because of heavy traffic and not enough cashiers which caused longer waits and people asking me for money outside the store. Never bought meat there as well, it was suspect.
I would drive 4 miles to another store or will stop at a store on the way home from work which is near 20 miles away. I have a choice of 3 stores within 3 to 6 miles along my route back.
I will get over to Kroger and shop on a daily basis.
Did Kroger threaten to quit carrying Po’ Chops, Jessy?
Food deserts happen for a reason.
Their theft ratio is thru the roof I’m sure.
Plus the added 24 hour security.
Not just one security guard, but probably multiple.
Why is Jesse complaining?
This will provide a minority businessman or woman an opportunity
to lose their ass too by opening another grocery store in the
same location.
More likely, Kroger is not making big donations to his
Rainbow Coalition.
In Philly the city government is making them take out the bulletproof plexiglass enclosures that protect the staff from the clientele.
