I grew up in a Christian home, where a photo of Jesus hung on my bedroom wall. I still have it. It is schmaltzy and rather tacky in that 1970s kind of way, but as a little girl I loved it. In this picture, Jesus looks kind and gentle, he gazes down at me lovingly. He is also light-haired, blue-eyed, and very white. The problem is, Jesus was not white.

White guilt again. I remember years ago seeing a book that had paintings from different countries of Jesus. Every one had the skin tones and features from the country of the artist. I doubt the artists were criticized by their fellow citizens. The Bible says He was not notable in appearance, He was just an average looking person.
Only 8% of humans have blue eyes.
How does the Bible describe King David’s appearance?
Pray tell why the racists are so hell bent on getting their choice of color for Jesus? Is it that to a libtard, skin color is always more important than one’s character or deeds.
America will be truly free when it is as against the law to give race a preference as it is to discriminate against LGBTQ, etc. crowd.
“Jesus was not a Jew. He was of Semitic origin as most of the middle easterners are.”
Jesus was most definitely a Jew. It could be said he was not a Judean, however, since He was from Nazareth. To complicate matters the word “Jew” is from “Judea” but that doesn’t change the fact that Jesus was a Jew.
It’s been said that people who met Jesus at the time all had different descriptions of him. Although the physical appearance of Jesus as seen by the Shroud of Turin shows a moderately tall man for the period. When it comes to the appearance of Jesus, he would have had brown eyes, brown hair, and well tanned face and limbs. Today we call it a Farmers tan.
That sounds a little like adjusting the weather station raw data to come up with the anticipated and desired result.
The middle east has been a crossroads of genetic diversity since prehistory.
Ishmael, Abraham's first born, is the father of several Arab tribes and ancestor of Muhammad.
So, if the Jews are Caucasians, then Arabs are Caucasians. LOL.
You must have read a different set of scriptures than the ones familiar to me.
Jews and Arabs are both Caucasians.
“I believe the historian Josephus described Jesus as fair haired and there are also other sources from Roman correspondence.”
I can remember Sunday School many years ago, when a teacher discussed the then-latest and new and shiny non-Christian “Biblical Research.” At that time they were saying Mary was not a Virgin and Jesus was the out-of-wedlock progeny of a Roman soldier.
So now the devil is trying to stir up discord by reversing that old and failed propaganda trick? Won’t work now, either. Christianity is not based on racism.
No, that was Brian .... she must have thought it was a documentary ...
To Yeshua the color of someone’s skin did not matter, but to the Marxist inspired (divide everyone by every category of “class”) Yeshua’s skin color, perversely, matters a lot. I think Yeshua would not support their tactics and would actually consider it a “defamation” of HIS character.
He started the Christian faith. Christians are not Jews, right?
You may be Jewish, but recall Jesus started the Christian faith. Remember, he was crucified by the Romans at the instigation of the Jews.
I could care less, but since he was in the middle east, you have to think he would look like a middle eastern Jew, but it doesn’t change anything, if he were black or purple.
Jesus, being the founder of Christianity I think broke from Judaism. He was hung a cross for it at the behest of the jewish leaders.
