24 million could skip Census because of citizenship question: Report
The Washington Times ^ | March 30, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

Posted on 03/30/2018 9:24:37 AM PDT by jazusamo

The man who ran the 2000 census for the Clinton administration predicted Friday that more than 24 million people may refuse to take part in the 2020 count now that the survey is going to ask about citizenship status.

Robert Shapiro, who was under secretary at the Commerce Department during the 2000 count, called the decision to ask about citizenship “dangerous.”

He predicted 6.8 million illegal immigrants will duck the count altogether, as would about half of the 8.8 million legal residents who live in a household with an illegal immigrant present. The other half, he said, will likely lie and claim the illegal immigrants are citizens, further distorting the count.

~snip~

Mr. Shapiro said the losses could cost immigrant-heavy states such as California and Texas seats in Congress, while poor states that rely heavily on government assistance programs such as Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky and West Virginia would suffer the loss of funding.

Doesn't matter. No matter what you all do, you have your secret algorithm where you impute an under count and up the population via an estimate.

That’s great news. Illegal invaders should not be counted as citizens or legal resident aliens. This is how to fix the sanctuary city problem.

If 24 million illegals are not counted, Texas and Florida will lose a few Congress seats, but California will lose a whole lot more and I am willing to take the small loss in those states to see California lose a bunch of their leftist Congressmen.

California will lose half their seats in Congress and half their electoral votes.

It blows my mind that it is even a question. We not only should, we absolutely should ask it, and anyone who objects in even the slightest way should be told to go pound sand.

A lot of these things are causing many roaches in public office, who would otherwise just lurk in the shadows, to be exposed when they speak out.

And some are not lurking in the shadows.

That is a wonderful thing.
Just think of all the representatives and electors that would be re-allocated to represent citizens rather than invading barbarians.

That level of deceit and dishonesty from a public servant should be met with torches and pitchforks.

If they are harboring an illegal, they are committing a felony, are they not?

Compare the number of tax refund checks issued by the IRS to addresses that are out of the country.

Yep, it’s like the hysteria they fall into when we talk about having voter ID. What a coincidence.

That’d take about 30 seats out of congress.

Maybe 20 of them out of California! LOL

All the census takers should be required to wear ICE jackets while walking through the neighborhoods.

“””That’d take about 30 seats out of congress.”””

The number of Congressional Seats will not change. The states that have a large number of illegals will lose seats to the states with a few number of illegals.

California will be the biggest loser of Congressional Seats if the illegals avoid the census. That is the best outcome possible!!!!!
