Good morning to our
AWESOME

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable weekend.
Thank you, fatima, for preparing
the Canteen for today's activities.
Just a drive-by post.
Looks like more snow is headed to the NE states.
Showers heading to the DC metro area.
Please stay...
chat up the troops and their families.
Remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS open
for our Military, Allies, and families.Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM

I prefer “In the Wee, Wee Hours” to “Maybelline” on the A side of the disc, which was the big hit. I hadn’t heard the Eric Clapton version before, but I like it also.

Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))
All is well here. Windy but sunny and pretty otherwise.
Hope you and Bo have a wonderful Easter weekend and some nice walks at the lakes! God Bless!

Howdy, radu! Hope you had fun at the ceremony last night! And that it didn’t rain too much.

Seems like Chuck enjoyed doing songs that were out of the usual r&r tempo. Maybelline was great but you couldn’t dance to it, Wee Wee Hours too slow to dance to.
To: LUV W
Howdy, LUV.
The ceremony and reception for the Vietnam vets yesterday afternoon was a nice one. Everything was done at the American Legion since it was raining hard. Not a good day to walk over to City Hall to hear the mayor read the proclamation. He was at the Legion to do that.
The commemorative flag is VERY nice and they hung it on the wall yesterday. I imagine they raised it over City Hall today since the rain is outta here at last. It was a shame they couldn’t do it yesterday though. The plan was to raise it and fly it for three days.
I’m still kicking myself for bolting out of here without the camera. AAAAUUUGGHHH!!

I fully intended to have pix but .....
It’s the kittehs’ fault. Too many interruptions while I was getting ready and I was running late. About halfway there it hit me that the camera was still in the desk. *sigh*

Another oddity about Chuck was that "My Ding-a-Ling," which many consider to be his worst song, was his biggest hit. Incidentally, the Bees recorded this tune in 1954 under the title
"Toy Bell", and the Spiders answered it with
"The Real Thing."
