Documentary filmmaker and left-wing activist Michael Moore took to Twitter on Monday and shared the one thing he says weve learned since last months horrific mass shooting.
If theres one thing weve learned since Parkland, its that the voting age should be lowered to 16. Other countries do it, we should too.
Moore was among the throng of celebrities who took to social media to shower praise on the thousands of students and activists who hit the streets in Washington, DC, and in other cities across the country and marched in support of gun control.
Id say at least one million people in the streets of DC! Historic! Moore Tweeted on Saturday. This photo doesnt even show the full breadth of it. Thank you Parkland students and kids everywhere. You have made it clear to the adults: Either join us or get out of the way. We are here & we are coming.'
The logic of lowering the legal voting age to 16 has been circulated by several celebrities in recent weeks.
The future belongs to this generation and they fully realize it. Let let them vote. Change voting age to 16, said actress Mia Farrow.
Simpsons writer Mike Scully wrote, Raise gun-buying age to 25 and lower voting age to 16.
Steve King
If you are a teenager & believe you wont be responsible enough to own a gun until 21, why should you vote before 21?
Countries that allow its citizens to vote at 16 include corruption-ridden Brazil and Cuba, which hasnt head a free and open election in more than 50 years.

Moore isn’t stupid, he doesn’t actually believe any of this shit, but he does understand exactly how to ensure that things blow up as quickly as possible. He would be an interesting psychological case, one has to wonder what causes people to become so unhinged.
Think about it - I’ve travelled the world a fair bit. I’ve seen everything from how the rich folk live on big yachts off Monaco in the Med, to the slums in Phnom Penh. In the latter for example; I met some very decent people. They had literally nothing. Mr. Moore is a multimillionaire, with mansions, yet is a total cunt. How does that happen? How can he be so ungrateful? It doesn’t make sense. I can understand how someone who has literally nothing could be bitter and angry. What the hell is his excuse?
That boy ain’t right.
Well, if you had to be mature to vote, Democrats would be disenfranchised.
“Other countries” require ID to vote. And we’re talking real countries like Canada and in Western Europe.
Lower the voting age?... Well, then why not paint GOODYEAR on your A$$ and send you UP!
Is there any recent polling on this? I surmise letting 16-year-old teenagers vote is not a very popular position outside the far-left.
Because eating tide pods or doing the cinnamon challenge shows such a maturity of thought that screams “we should listen to these shining examples of the future and let them vote!”
And voting weight should be limited to 666 pounds
The voting age should be raised to twenty-eight.
He'd be ugly if he looked like Clark Gable.
The voting age should be increased to 25. And only lower than that if you were a person serving in the US Armed Forces. Former Navy Seals that serve as security for Michael Moore should be utterly ashamed of themselves. How much is their honor worth? Shame Shame Shame Shame
Age 64 and weighing about 640 pounds he is going to drop at any moment.
It would actually be an improvement to allow only the property owners to vote.
If you cant be trusted with a rifle you sure as hell should not be trusted with a vote.
I guess they have to find the lost illegal votes somewhere. Wonder what they're going to do when the voter fraud cases get started.
Funny. Over 100 years ago bars WERE the polling places.
As well as buying a gun, cigarettes, alcohol, etc., yes MM Idiot?
Have another Bowel Burger Au Jus Mike!
Says the person who told the late Christopher Hitchens, during a debate at the Telluride Film Festival, that the American presence was unjustified at least on the part of that Osama Bin Laden should have been treated as innocent until proven guilty as that is the American way.
I have always thought the voting should be like in Heinlein’s Starship Troopers. You could add anyone who served in any branch of the military and maybe those who were under arms in police forces and the like, but you should only be allowed to vote if you have skin in the game.
A real Democracy is an ugly mob taking what it wants.
College kids get triggered by chalk on a sidewalk, and need safe places with play dough and coloring books.
What are 16 year olds going to do, vote with crayons?
