SEOUL, South Korea South Korea has agreed to further open its auto market to the United States as the two countries prepare to amend their 6-year-old trade agreement following complaints by President Donald Trump.

American cars are a niche product in Asia. The same is true for Europe. It won’t be mass market for US automakers ever and it is more a cultural issue than a matter of price competition.
In Latin America and Russia American cars are OK for the local taste but still lose to Asian makers due to a poor marketing by American companies.
