I hate to say it but I have a feeling that the wall is going to be like one of those road expansion projects that seems to go on in perpetuity but never seems to accomplish much progress. There will be some tractors laid out, stacks of construction supples stationed nearby, and a few segments built up to show the press.
I hope I'm wrong.
The true brilliance of this is that, as CIC, the President has exclusive authority over our military.
He just did a beautiful end run around Congress. Actually, he ran right over their heads.
Not only can Congress not play games with the funding, they don’t get to micromanage.
And I’ll bet the EPA won’t present much of an obstacle either. (Says she who carries a Scott Pruitt doll in her purse).

I agree, whole heartedly.
Trump gets done what he wants to get done. The rest is not a concern, or at least not a priority.
When he came in he fulfilled tons of his promises. It was impressive. But if you look at those promises you’ll see that they were all of his things from day 1. The rest (Abortion, Religious issues, and RKBA) were promised but nothing has been done.
I said this from day 1 as well (And I’m a big fan of Trump) that he doesn’t want the presidency. He found an opportunity to help him and his out to make sure they had a prosperous legacy. His grandkids. And he would die to ensure their future. And by doing so, he would be ensuring our grandkid’s futures as well.
He’s a good man, but this shows that he will do all sorts of gymnastics for his own agenda, while anything that isn’t directly on his table gets postponed, cancelled, or flat-out lied about.
Hell no! This is Builder Trump. He already said that compared to making high rise buildings, this wall will be a piece of cake.
It might not matter that Trump announced this as the spending bill worked its way forward. For example, we know his campaign statements were supposedly enough to stop him from exerting his Presidential power in area of national security.
I would not be surprised if a leftist judge is waiting in the wings waiting to halt the building of the wall either on environmental grounds, or more more likely that it discriminates against an entire class of people who have connection to regions south of the border.

After infringing on 2A I guess he had to toss a bone to his robotic followers. I would not vote for anyone in power who even joked about due process. That is a fundamental right like 2A.

There’s no way to start anything on this scale without announcing it ahead of time. Judges will try to stop this, as they try to stop everything, but they probably won’t succeed.
