President Trump said Friday that construction of his promised border wall would start "immediately" after signing the omnibus spending bill, which included $1.6 billion in funding for the wall.
"We're going to be starting work literally on Monday," Trump said during an event Friday at the White House. "We have a lot of money coming to the border."
Trump had threatened earlier Friday to veto the spending bill Congress passed on Thursday because it did not include sufficient funding for the wall and because it omitted expiring protections for young, undocumented immigrants.
Thank you. You are so very right.
How very demanding of you, Jersey.
You've been here since 2008 and you don't understand who the mods are??
Btw, once you've invoked Hitler....you've lost the debate.

The only time giraffe neck gets heart is when the media attention turns to her.
Btw, your nom de plume is an excellent choice .. by all accounts, our fledgling Continental Army very likely wouldn’t have survived Valley Forge without Molly and many more just like her.
Hey Max, you best keep your fingers busy and ping all of those FReepers you are talking ‘at’ not ‘too’. You’re in violation of forum rules. We wouldn’t want you to be there would we?
If President Trump follows through on his threat to withhold wall construction in California until the whole project is funded, and instead drops this year’s whole $1.6 billion for 90 or more miles in the Rio Grande Valley, it could effectively shut off the flow through McAllen and Brownsville by the end of 2019.
That is currently the highest rate of crossing anywhere along the border. Another hundred miles next year could transform the situation a year later at other high-crossing areas, like twenty miles in Laredo, twenty miles in El Paso, etc.
Everything will likely start flowing into California instead, until they beg for a wall. Maybe then the people will get fed up with the mess the Democrats are making there.
I’m still here, but lost all of my graphics after my PC crashed.. and don’t want to go through 100s of back pages to download again :p
I guess I could start from scratch and make some new ones.
I didn’t know of Shibumi and Darkwing’s passing.. so sad :(
About those still around, what about theoldlady and 50mm?
Ooooh.....I like your plan.

Extensions to existing of border FENCE and repairs of said existing fence are now equal to "The Wall"?!?

Bless your heart...you can’t stop once you get started.
700B for the Military leaves 600B
Trump can do what Obama did with the spending bills he was handed.
He spent the money however he wanted
So can Trump.

Here it is
You should follow your own advice.
Opine in haste, repent at leisure.
He looked a bit pissed, but there was also an odd relaxation about him that I noticed.
This rumor about re-allocating portions of the whopping 300 BILLION for military over to the Army Corp of Engineers to get the wall moving was floating around the minute he ended his press conference yesterday.
I think this is going to happen!
The high energy TRUMP TRAIN does not stop... if you think you’re getting off at the next station simply because you can’t figure out Trump’s next move, think again. Grab a seat and enjoy the ride !
