President Trump said Friday that construction of his promised border wall would start "immediately" after signing the omnibus spending bill, which included $1.6 billion in funding for the wall.
"We're going to be starting work literally on Monday," Trump said during an event Friday at the White House. "We have a lot of money coming to the border."
Trump had threatened earlier Friday to veto the spending bill Congress passed on Thursday because it did not include sufficient funding for the wall and because it omitted expiring protections for young, undocumented immigrants.

Mexico will pay, and illegal aliens here will provide the funds in their transfers to relatives in Mexico.
Those transfers will be taxed. No legislation is needed.
There is an express prohibion for anything but barb wire. You people are gasping for air when the air is all gone. What a damned joke. It would be a joke if concrete was not prohibited BUT IT IS!!

When it gets to court, and we can be sure it will go there, it will be interesting to see how a lower court liberal judge will twist a ruling to say in effect the Commander in Chief of the United States is not authorized to protect and defend the nation.
Trump is this countries last hope. The only people who come close (Cruz, Paul) don’t have the balls and they are professional politicians. He made a big mistake. Let us pray he learns from this mistake and makes up for it many times over. Otherwise, the so called progressives will make “1984” look like paradise.

I read the article. It states:

No Wall has been funded. Fence.
I would rather he make a difference than a stand and he is making a difference.
President Trump has committed to defunding Planned Parenthood. He said there were many things in the Omnibus that were pork and other things that shouldn’t be there (do you think PP may have been on his mind?). He needed to sign the bill for the good of the country despite those things. That doesn’t mean he isn’t going to fix the things that shouldn’t be there. POTUS doesn’t like to lose and he doesn’t like to let people down and he loves kids. And he is good at setting up the board to win. Why would he telegraph PP & it’s allies that he is planning to tangle with them?

It’s amazing. People don’t read the article and don’t read the bill Trump signed. There is NO wall. Not even 100 feet. Fencing. We’ve been fencing for decades as 30 million invaders came.
That is correct and it also says he cannot redirect any of the money allocated (like from the military or planned parenthood) to the border wall.
