“My only guess is the country is going to war in the next few months and he was willing to trade it all to get that funding for the military.”

That’s irony for you. The left are in an all out do or die war against Trump, America and the rule of law. No external threat can compare to what we have going on within our own borders.

Misleading headline. I don’t see Trump mentioned anywhere. Shame on you Breitbart.

I’d vote for Woods if he ran for President. Let’s all tell him to do just that. I follow him on Twitter.

He still has enough votes in congress to keep a veto from being overturned

The only way he was going to fulfill his promise to rebuild the military was to accept this bill. It's another promise kept.

I hope the voters don’t blame Trump come November

Letting Dems back into control, especially in the Senate, will halt any progress that can be made outside of what a President has the power to do on his own.

Having a hissy fit and letting Dems win should never be an option. That is what gave us Obamacare and all the rest of the permanent damaged caused by Obama.

Nonsense. He fulfilled a major campaign promise with this bill -- rebuild a military that has been depleted intentionally by Obama.

At what cost to his office?
I am pro-military(and served) but are the present threats to our notion so great that no cost was too much to bear for the immediate widespread refurbishing of our defense?
Could this bill have not have waited for a few months?
Could money have not been shifted around in the short term for critical items??
Could Trump have used a government shutdown as an opportunity to demonstrate to the public what was in play in the bill?
In short, were all the undesirable things others more knowledgeable tell us are in the bill, worth the price of immediate rehab of defense?
And, of course, what will be the political price of his "read my lips" action?

But, he needs more conservatives in Congress to get the rest of his agenda passed.

With RINOs and the CoC running the party, good luck with that.

“Is he always so graphic?”

That’s what makes Woods so lovable. #demfluffers etc.

“He could have made them override his veto. Why didn’t he?”

I think there were enough votes to override a veto. For instance, 67 senators voted for the bill, so that’s enough for an override right there.

You weren't paying attention to how much Obama cut back and intentionally neglected upgrades and modernization to military ships, planes, weapon systems, etc.?

Trump absolutely made a promise to solve the problem. He keeps his promises.

Then, what? Members of both parties of would be piling on and its doubtful he could have gotten what he wanted in the way of military spending.

2015:

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/feb/24/us-military-decimated-under-obama-only-marginally-/

The U.S. military is shedding so many troops and weapons it is only “marginally able” to defend the nation and falls short of the Obama administration’s national security strategy, according to a new report by The Heritage Foundation on Tuesday.

“The U.S. military itself is aging. It’s shrinking in size,” said Dakota Wood, a Heritage analyst. “And it’s quickly becoming problematic in terms of being able to address more than one major conflict.”

President Obama’s latest strategy is to size the armed forces so that the four military branches have sufficient troops, ships, tanks and aircraft to win a large war, while simultaneously acting to “deny the objectives of — or impose unacceptable costs on — another aggressor in another region.”

James Woods is right. A wise man once said which I will paraphrase.
You are still a friend if you agree with me 80% of the time, you are not a 20% traitor.
We have to put our elected officials feet to the fire and be critical at times.
Being a 100% boot-licker makes you the Bill Mitchell type.

When will these RINO wimps stop sticking their asses,...

Their asses and their mouths sound the same! How can you tell which end is speaking?

For seven years they made believe that they wanted to repeal OBAMACARE. Now they just continued funding it for another three years.

And they provided funding for construction of a border wall. The only problem is, it is located in the Middle East! Their geography also sucks!
