Venezuela wasn't the reason why I posted this. Criptocurrency being used for trade was.
Venezuela clearly has problems. How that plays out will be interesting. There are signs locals are attempting to take over properties that where abandoned by the State after they confiscated those lands.
In other words free markets are starting to reform in the ash's of the "Utopian vision."

Their government is telling them the US is behind it all. No surprise there.

I know. Trump blamed for that too. Wonder where Sean Penn is lately? Is he down there bringing food to the miserable people?

Isn’t that the aim of communism? Make everyone poor? Except for the nomenklatura, since some animals are more equal than others.

Didnt Trump say something about the problem with Venezuela is not that socialism was implemented incorrectly, but that it was implemented exactly as intended? I am totally paraphrasing but that was his intent. I thought it was a brilliant statement. Completely not politically correct :-)

No, Sean Penn’s not down helping the Venezuelans. He’s back in NYC partying and making Page Six. He has a book coming out in a month or so and will be globe trotting to push it, while telling the rest of the world the US is a country “in need of an assassination.”

Who has it worse Venezuelans or North Koreans?

Why? Do we really want to emulate either one?

I would think cryptocurrency would be a far better currency to use then the bolívar fuerte (their currency.) Which the new bolívar is similar to Zimbabwe’s currency. Where you need a wheel barrow of cash to get a loaf of bread.

I have been very very sad about the situation in Venezuela. People giving their children to orphanage-type of places because they cannot feed their kids. People and animals desperate for food.
I will continue to pray for them. May God help them and show us how we can help them.

Yes. I've been hearing rumors so far that the CIA is working on some kind of operational setup to take down the socialist government. I don't like how the CIA operates this may not be a good thing for the individuals that live there.
Maybe with Trump running things it could be different I don't know

That is what I was getting at. Just watch, the people of both Venezuela and North Korea will benefit through Trump. There is hope.
To: Steve Van Doorn
There are signs locals are attempting to take over properties that where abandoned by the State after they confiscated those lands. One can hope, however, without the rule of law, can hope alone prevail?
As soon as the business becomes successful, the government will be back for it, or at least a share. The poor will accuse, and in Socialism, the government takes it back.
It's all about who has the guns and who doesn't without the rule of law.

Its OK guys! I saw an interview with Brad Pitt the other day in which he said he had been to socialist countries and it was just fine. So clearly with the support of the Hollywood cognoscenti, we can trust that everything is A OK down there.
