That's one way of protesting Andrew McCabe's firing as deputy FBI director, roughly a day before he was set to retire: At least one Democratic congressman has offered McCabe a temporary job so he can get full retirement benefits and McCabe appears to be considering.
Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) announced Saturday afternoon that he has offered McCabe a job to work on election security in his office, so that he can reach the needed length of service to retire.

Good on him. He put in his time.
In a little over 2 weeks, the next FReepathon will begin.
We need to finish this one first.
Come on FReepers, lets do this!!!
“Crooks helping crooks. “
Yep,playing games with OUR money.
.
Criminals.
Think being for cause by the FBI might preclude home for working for another federal agency .
So did Benedict Arnold.
Can he spend it in jail?
I said on a similar thread that he wouldn't be able to pass the background check. He got fired based on recommendations from a disciplinary process.
Your comment was just satire, right?
Is he eligible for rehire?
*No.
“Election security” = how best to defeat it.
A couple of things that I’ve heard.
1. His retirement benefit is based on time working for the FBI not necessarily time working for the government.
2. He actually doesn’t lose his pension but that it is now deferred until he’s 57 years old.
3. I suspect that he will have little difficulty hooking on to some big firm for big bucks. Maybe Fusion GPS.
I could be wrong.
From all I’ve read, loosing his pension should be the least of his worries. He made the statement that if he goes down he’s going to take a lot of others with him. That tells me McCabe has a consciousness of guilt. He knows where the bodies are buried and will dig the up......and I hope he does
The DNC could just start paying him for the work he has been doing for them.
“Good on him. He put in his time.”
Good? He put in his time trying to arrange a coup against the elected president, he financially destroyed many people who worked under him, he financially destroyed Flynn who faced enemy fire for our country. Yeah, good on him.
ROTFLMAO!
“2. He actually doesnt lose his pension but that it is now deferred until hes 57 years old.”
His multiplier goes from 1.7 to 1.0
If so, I hope for his sake that while enjoying his retirement, he doesn’t accidentally walk through Fort Marcy Park and accidentally shoot himself several times in the head.
