AG Sessions fires former FBI Deputy Director McCabe and McCabe fires back

Washington insiders must be wondering what will happen next after the last-minute decision by AG Jeff Sessions to terminate former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe only hours before his retirement would have been effective.  This action will surely give partisans plenty to fight over during the coming days and months.

We must remember how this came about.  This action demonstrates the danger in draining the Washington swamp and the resistance within the establishment to President Trump and his administration.  The McCabe pension was reported to be worth up to $1.8 million, as he is 50 years old and could easily receive 30 years of pension for 20 years of work.   This loss certainly could make an enemy of the former Acting FBI Director.

McCabe (a lawyer) issued a public statement that is a political response and an argument for a defamatory claim against the President.

I have been an FBI Special Agent for over 21 years. I spent half of that time investigating Russian Organized Crime as a street agent and Supervisor in New York City. I have spent the second half of my career focusing on national security issues and protecting this country from terrorism. I served in some of the most challenging, demanding investigative and leadership roles in the FBI. And I was privileged to serve as Deputy Director during a particularly tough time.

For the last year and a half, my family and I have been the targets of an unrelenting assault on our reputation and my service to this country. Articles too numerous to count have leveled every sort of false, defamatory and degrading allegation against us.

He will likely file a law suit to gain his pension. He will have to demonstrate that he was grievously treated by the Justice Department to be successful. Within the legal system, he will have sympathetic ears, but he will have an uphill battle since the professional and non-partisan OPR of the agency has recommended this action.

During the past several years 17 FBI officials have been terminated for false statements, not under oath. McCabe was accused by the OPR of making false statements about leaks to the media concerning investigations under oath. The removal of former FBI Director James Comey led to the present investigation when Democrats demanded a response against President Trump.

Independent investigation. Independent review. He is worried about something else.

The pension is worth millions because at age 50 you expect to live another 30+ years...

And you sought, through criminal means, to undermine a duly elected president of the US. Tough toenails. Lots of people in the private sector are fired without cause and don’t get their pensions. Some don’t even have pension plans!

Suck it up.

Tell Mc Cabe to go to confession and then

.... ask for God’s forgiveness and apologize to the American public.

I heard the Fox weakling, Ed Henry, try to make the case that McCabe spent 21 years in the FBI and only his last two are questionable. I’d like to know why we should assume McCabe was ever clean given the degree of corruption he is currently engaged in?

My thoughts as well. He was poised to draw $60,000 a year at age 50! Something is definitely wrong with the federal retirement system if this is correct. Secondly, if the office of Inspector General recommended the action, I’d say he’s toast as far as his pension. However, I look to some Democratic organization to hire him for his “talents and contacts”.

Multiple counts of perjury (lying under oath) at the federal level, at 10 years each, makes any sentence a life sentence. so he’s not worried about paying retirement savings to legal defense fees. He’s essentially ‘all in’.

I would suggest that McCabe made a career of ass kissing. Only recently when things were spinning out of control and he was thrust upward did he act in a mover shaker.

Several attorneys on FNC last night were saying that McCabe has virtually no chance winning his case. I just hope Horowitz report is out immediately, and that a new special counsel will have an indictment for him in short order.

The whole premise of this article is crap. Usually, American Thinker is better than that.

I understand the power of compound interest. When do you get your gov pension?

"...Ed Henry, try to make the case that McCabe spent 21 years in the FBI and only his last two are questionable."

That's such a weak line of reasoning:
"I've been married 21 years and I only cheated during two of them. Does that make me a cheater?"
Um, yes.

..........ok, I did not read “ALL” of this too long article. I just got to a point that I couldn’t take any more of this congenital liars bs.

Mr. McCabe’s statement reminds me of Richard Nixon’s famous line...........”well, I’m not a Crook”.

Both Nixon and McCabe severely violated their oath of office and then lied about it. Minimally, they will have that in common for eternity. Nixon avoided prison. We’ll see on McCabe.

danger in draining the Washington swamp

There's much greater danger if the swamp isn't drained.

Draining the swamp - paring down the feds to its constitutional size - is imperative if we are to MAGA by RESTORING OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.
