The family of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Fox News, one of the network's reporters, and a wealthy Texas businessman over their roles in the publication of a baseless conspiracy theory about Rich's 2016 death.
The lawsuit, filed in US District Court for the Southern District of New York, seeks compensation for "mental anguish and emotional distress, emotional pain and suffering, and any other physical and mental injuries."

“Didnt the DIMs pay-off the Kopechne family?”
Don’t think so. Just the Kennedy family.
Just WOW. This is unbelievable. Hopefully, it will lead to a full investigation, and reveal the truth. I have to think that Sean Hannity is not going to take this quietly. I wonder if Assange will finally reveal...
I would go with afraid first, delusional second.
Or they’re just trying to force some out of court settlement.
Sounds like the family has been contacted by DNC thugs with instructions.
>>Media has to fight this suit to death, or thousands of these will tank the industry.<<
Damn!
Talk about ambivalence!
Maybe a lot will come out in court about this “ baseless conspiracy theory”
Any idiot knows Mark was slain by the DNC beacuse he was the hacker!
Whhooopss , meant Seth!
Exactly. Whatever anyone thinks of the US legal system, it generally allows educated, sober, adults to present "facts", in a public environment. This means that information other than the media approved meme, will be told. It will be difficult to ignore.
Maybe it’s a tactic to get to the truth.
Forces legal documentation & investigation of facts, which can then be used to subject others to prosecution.
Sometimes apparently unintended consequences are intended.
Dedicated?
Seth was the source of incalculable loss of political face and family shame. The truth can never be outed. The truth must be fought to the bitter end by the progressive establishment
It will be interesting to see the team of lawyers the Rich family “retains”!
CNN’s entire news narrative is a baseless conspiracy theory!
Shouldn’t they be more concerned with finding the “real” killer than filing a frivolous lawsuit?
This is part of a coordinated attack. Gateway Pundit, Alex Jones and a couple others were also served with papers for their coverage of the Unite the Right march. At issue is they identified a State Dept. Counter-protester as such, which caused speculation about his involvement in the fatal accident.
The lawyer suing works at Mueller’s firm. Small world, eh?
Discovery should involve the police who responded and the coroner. Could get interesting, as who originally said it was a robbery? Most cops know the difference between a hit job and a robbery. Like to see those people on the stand!
