His double-talking defense of Democrats who embraced Louis Farrakhan, and of Farrakhan himself, is the last straw
For the past ten months that I have been reporting prolifically about the cable news wars and the Fox News Channel, readers who have posted comments to my articles have most often cited Juan Williams as the #1 Fox News personality whom they cannot stand.
I am willing to cut any opinion meister a lot of slack, but the last straw for me came on Friday March 9, when Williams appeared live in-studio with Shannon Bream on her nightly program Fox News@Night . On Breams program, Williams defended Democrats who have cozied up to Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.
Incredibly, on Fox News@Night, Williams also defended Farrakhan himself. The topic under discussion was the closeness of at least seven prominent Democratic politicians to Louis Farrakhan in light of Farrakhans history of virulent anti-Jewish and anti-white rhetoric going back more than three decades. On March 5, the Daily Caller was the first to report the story, Seven House Democrats Have Direct Ties to Notorious Anti-Semite, the lead of which was:
At least seven House Democrats are known to have direct ties to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a notorious anti-Semite and racist who has called Jews satanic and said white people deserve to die.
The issue was given new prominence in light of comments Farrakhan made in a speech in Chicago on February 25, 2018. On his Fox News program earlier Friday night, Sean Hannity played excerpts of that speech:
Farrakhan: The powerful Jews are my enemy. . .White folks are going down...

Can’t stand the sight of Juan Williams.
Williams: First of all, you cant say that. Remember in their districts if theyre mostly Black districts I dont think thats a winner.
Bream: If hes saying such horrible, offensive things, does it matter, if it counts for votes for you? Either you think that its terrible stuff and you shouldnt say it
Williams: I think its reprehensible but I dont think it counts for votes either pro or con. But I think if you want to separate yourself from someone whos dealing with the poorest of Black America then I think that lots of Black Americans are like, well, youre paying attention to the wrong aspect. We see Louis Farrakhan in a different light.
Juan Williams cannot even keep track of his own positions from one statement to the next. First, he says opposing Farrakhan is not "a winner" for politicians in mostly black districts, and then the very next thing he says is that he doesn't think their position on Farrakhan "counts for votes either pro or con"...
Do you think the heads of FNC know this? Our household does the same thing. In addition, I used to tape The Five to watch when I got home from work, but with so many Juan appearances, I stopped taping it and haven't watch The Five in over two years.
I’m not that impressed with Shannon Bream either.
Geraldo has to go 1st.
He offers nothing and has no credibility.
Agreed...Especially when Fox News and that national audience have provided and still provide a very good living for him and his family.
Bump!
She’s easy on the eyes, but I gave up watching her show when Chris Stirewalt kept coming on as if he has anything to add to any conversation anywhere on earth.
PASS!
Shep Smith is my #1. Mark Thiesson #2. Juan Williams #3.
I agree with you. Juan says what liberals think. That is what he is being paid to do, offer his opinion. He is doing our side of the debate a great service!
Now, Sheppard Smith is a different matter. He is supposed to be a reporter. If we were able to give someone at Fox News the boot, he is my vote.
Juan William is low IQ.
Unlike Geraldo, Juan doesn’t have much passion for the talking points he spouts; I suspect it’s mostly about the paycheck and playing a role.
Between him and Dana, I can’t watch The Five anymore. Eric Bolling used to make it tolerable.
Juan Williams as the #1 Fox News personality whom they cannot stand. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Juan is a liberal fascist , Alinsky strategist, democrat operative who spouts leftist talking points instead of news. The Hill should retire him into the trash heap of history.
Juan unfortunately drank the kool-aid of the magic negro movement and has never gotten over it.
I don’t watch Juan either - just forward until he is done speaking. Fair and Balanced should not mean false and fraudulent. The gal who was a Bernie supporter on The Revolution this weekend was from another planet. She was so obnoxious with talking points and then she started in on “trickle down economics” and I thought Kennedy was going to blow a gasket.
I don’t have an issue with Fox trying to present both sides, but the MSNBC and CNN talking points simply don’t play well to the Fox audience. Some of their leftist pundits are screaming parrots and sadly it detracts from the ability to listen to persons who actually have something worth listening to. Just my .02
Because they would replace him with a rock-ribbed Conservative, right?
Leave Wan Wms alone...he’s the assclown we already love to hate.
When Juan opens his mouth I mute immediately. This is a pure example of a real lying jackass.
Fox News should hire one of Juan’s conservative sons.
I also think that Juan provides a service for
conservative thinkers. I just wish that at least
one other panelist would always focus in on his
bullshit and always have a response. When Brit Hume
was full time he often bitch slapped Juan because
Juan often needed it.
