More than nine in ten residents have voted against plans to plant 115 migrants in the small town of Lisdoonvarna, local media reports.
The Irish government says there can be no delay in beginning to transfer the first batch of asylum seekers it intends to accommodate in a hotel in the town of just 300 people.

115 unskilled illiterate migrants added to a town of 300 - what are the employment opportunities for the locals, let alone these people?
What could go wrong?

Be a shame if the “migrants” “disappeared.”
Just make sure it’s off-camera, since the UK is a total-surveillance state.

Too late for Ireland. Their fate was sealed more than 20 years ago when Ireland joined the EU. Ireland can export a little more wool and dairy products to the rest of Europe, while the rest of Europe exports Muslims to Ireland. Ireland is a small country with a unique culture. That culture will soon be “Gone With the Wind.” I have relatives over there. They are upset about the Irish government buying a small tourist hotel in a tiny village called Balladereen (or some such name). The hotel was filled with Muslim refugees.

The locals don’t want to end forever their town?
They don’t want to murder their children’s futures?

Terrible,if there was a “tragic fire”, killing most of them, where they’ve been inserted.

90% voted against so of course the ‘rulers’ will go ahead anyway.
Who needs governance by the people after all?

Indeed. What is the purpose of a referendum, if the voter’s input is totally ignored?

The story specifically says the “Irish government”. The town in question is not in Ulster.
