Other members of Congress, such as Trump supporters Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows have called on Sessions to resign, saying that, By recusing himself from the FBIs investigation into Russias alleged interference in the United States election, Sessions has lost control, allowing for a leaky and unnecessarily overdrawn, partisan investigation.
All painting the picture of an inept Mr. Magoo as Attorney General, letting the lunatics run the asylum, doing a grave disservice to his president and the country.
*snip*
Now the opposite scenario, that AG Sessions is indeed a ninja, working behind the scenes to drain the swamp, but doing it, out of necessity, quietly yet methodically.
What is Sessionsrésumé? 12 years as a U.S. Attorney, two years as Alabama AG, three terms as a conservative U.S. senator, one of the earliest supporters of candidate Trump. Nearly 30 years navigating the swamp through a solid conservative lens. To say that he doesnt understand current events or the significance of his role in all of this is hard to fathom.
Trump is no fool. And he doesnt suffer fools either. Watch speeches or interviews from decades ago and Trumps core beliefs have changed little. He has spoken constantly of the swamp, fighting the establishment of the media, Democrats, and even his own party. Why would Trump tolerate an inept AG, rather than uttering his famous, Youre fired!
Jeff Sessions offered to resign in September of last year, and before that in June. If Trump was so displeased, he could have accepted Sessions resignation. But he didnt. What if this is all a grand charade? A deception to keep his enemies off guard?

Yea right and I am the Easter Bunny.
Junior Soprano said it best:
Yea right and Im playing shortstop for the Mets.
According to the New York Times, the president was so upset with Robert Mueller being appointed special counsel that he berated Sessions in the Oval Office during a May meeting.White House Counsel Donald McGahn received a call from Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein saying he had appointed Mueller to be a special counsel for the investigation. McGahn then told the Trump, Sessions and administration advisers, who were in the process of discussing a replacement for fired FBI chief James Comey.
Trump went on to berate Sessions who had recused himself from the investigation and thus paved the way for a special counsel by calling him an "idiot" and saying choosing him to be attorney general was one of the "worst" decisions he had made. He then demanded Sessions resign.
According to the report, Sessions was "emotional" when he left that Oval Office meeting, agreeing to resign. Later that night as the Justice Department publicly announced the appointment of Mueller, Sessions wrote his short letter of resignation.
Meanwhile, Vice President Mike Pence, then-White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and then-Chief of Staff Reince Preibus intervened and convinced Trump to allow Sessions to stay.
Sessions allegedly told his associates following the Oval Office incident "that the demeaning way the president addressed him was the most humiliating experience in decades of public life."
According to the Times, Trump returned Sessions' resignation letter to him which included a handwritten response.
I would offer the opinion that Session’s period of competent work came to a closure in the mid-1990s, and he’s been way out of the major leagues since then.
Nincompoop
Straight honesty is too much for you snowflake?
You are so independent in your thought or a fool. I’m going with you are a fool.
Funny. They don’t with Mueller.
Sessions won’t be fired — Trump knows that he is unlikely to get another AG through the current Congress with elections coming up. In the meantime the Justice Department would be run by swamp character Rod Rosenstein. No good alternative from the current situation.
Rudy owed his country one more time. Being a New Yorker, I love him. But I was very disappointed.
1. Took the job as AG then immediately recused himself
2. Refused to support his replacement in election causing loss of Senate seat
3. Allowed the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the President with no evidence of a crime
4. Refused to appoint a special counsel to investigate the obvious crimes of the democrats and DOJ agents
Right. He doesn’t want to be the one to put high-ranking members of the previous administration in jail because it will set a precedent. Which is how previous and future administrations get away with murder. It’s the swamp, Jake.
Well it ain’t Ninja.
He’s a moron and a coward. Lets say he is playing the long game, we are now about a third of the way through Trump’s presidency. When exactly does he think it would be a good time to Spring the Trap?
When you consider that Sessions could be the one person standing between the deep state and the President, between a totally corrupt government wanting to take out the threat to their whole way of life, or the massive deep state taken down like a falling house of cards, it’s difficult to have confidence that he is pursuing the latter, or just biding his time to let the former play out.
That’s funny!
On the internet no one knows your really a cat.
I think this is a ridiculous article. Sessions is not a ninja nor a nincompoop. He is a defective AG Trump is saddled with. Either the swamp is blackmailing g him or he is part of it. The reason Trump has not fired him is because Graham, McConnell, Ryan et al don’t want it. He works for them.
I think the author of this piece must believe in yetis and Santa Claus.
