Senate Democrats offered their ante Thursday in the renewed gun control debate, saying any bill must expand background checks and allow court-ordered gun confiscations while demanding a vote on a semi-automatic rifle ban
Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer of New York said his Democratic caucus is prepared to provide a “very large” number of votes for those priorities.
“This is what we think should be done. This is the right thing to do” Mr. Schumer said.

Literally millions of people take trazadone, myself included. The vast majority of people take this as a non narcotic non addictive sleep aid. It is also use as an anti-depressant but rarely used for this today. There are better drugs for depression. I could easily see a law that says, “anyone taking an anti depressant can not have a weapon.” This is the slippery slope of gun confiscation.
We don’t have a “gun violence problem,” we have a “failing families/society problem” that will not be fixed with gun confiscation and background checks.
These demands have more to do with the failure of the Republicans for not articulating 2nd Amendment principles.
This is a Republican Congress and we do have a Republican President, do we not?
But then, these powerful actors outside the government are wreaking havoc with any control the people have upon it.
I look at chuck Shumer and I just see a soulless old man.
And they’ll search out a legally mandated gun free zone to kill as many as possible since no one with a gun will be around to stop them.
What makes people believe everybody stores all their firearms inside a single home?

At the last place where I was employed,
employees were notified of drug tests

Traditional Socialist/Democrat gun control. Without this sort of gun confiscation the cowards that make up the Democrat Party can not proceed with their plans to enslave us.
The game, on both sides, is to have election issues, not solutions. It does not matter how much is offered in concessions, more is always demanded, because they want to, they need to, have campaign issues to sell.
The GOP is just as bad. Consider how they campaigned for killing Obamacare. Yet, with a majority in Congress they couldn’t seem to do a damn thing about it.
It has become a tiresome game on both sides of screaming at each other and actually doing nothing.
They really need a trip to Venezuela.
The Democrats fell for it and just exposed themselves. Trump wins again.
