Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf used her office to alert the public to a federal immigration sweep.
That’s what she did, make no mistake about it. And it was brilliant. Politically risky, yes. But Schaaf stood up to hate.

One smart lady /S .. she tells all the illegal criminals that ICE is coming and they all go elsewhere and she doesn’t have to deal with the crimes, homelessness or vagrancy. Sure makes her city better.

The odds of her being personally affected are very low, which is why she is happy to do this sort of thing. But, those criminals will certainly victimize a number of Libby’s constituents, and I have no sympathy for them. They vote for these idiots, and they can live with the results. The entire state of California is lost.
She would love that. What a resume enhancement...better to highlight when one of the 800 criminals that escaped kills or rapes someone - and the sue the crap out of her and the city.

I could have a reasonable discussion with these people and even respect them if they were consistent.
If they were ok with other mayors and governors ignoring federal laws and regulations on marriage, abortion, health care, unions, EEOC, OSHA, and a lot of other things where a mayor or governor can make similar claims for ignoring federal law or disallowing federal actions.
But when you think “states rights” apply to YOU and not ME like this mayor, we have nothing to talk about.
Well, it takes time, money, time and more money to manufacture evidence that will hold up in court on phony charges against President Trump. They can’t afford to be distracted by the real crimes.
Maybe one day if this CA lawlessness continues, we’ll see several Black Hawks loaded with ICE personnel land at a nearby school near the Oakland City Hall and arrest and prosecute this leftist screw worm.
