It sounds like President Trump is supporting Manchin/Toomey universal background check bill. Does anyone else get that impression?
Everything you said is true. But, we can’t sit back and watch. We have to call and write and push for our side.
You are not reading the tea leaves...there is a ton of public unrest over this issue. Add to that the tones of money on the side of the anti gun crowd and there is a major problem for those who believe strongly in 2A. I don’t agree with what I think may come out of this but the point is once momentum builds it will be tough to stop especially when they have a guy in the oval office who seems open to doing what the mob wants in this arena. I try not to sugar coat what I see.
Bill Clinton didn’t “triangulate” until after he lost the House and the Senate in 1994. If Trump is “triangulating” he likely thinks the Rats will take the House and the Senate this November.

The claim that Congress is controlled by NRA money is LAUGHABLE, considering how little money the NRA even controls, relative to big-hitters.
We need to remind the ones in Congress that they keep their seats not because of NRA money, but because of NRA MEMBERS, and like-minded non-members. Otherwise, yep, they will drift off, especially in the DC fishbowl.
I hate to tell you this but I am not getting a break on the tax bill because my husband and I make too much. It’s a shit bill that is still as convoluted as ever and requires us to use expensive cpa’s because of the overload of paperwork.

It’s all well and good until a Leftist Democrat becomes President and orders the ATF to arrest all the gun owners who believe they have the right to bear arms against an oppressive government because they are declared “crazy.” It does not stretch the imagination at all.

Yep. I think a discussion could be had about raising the age to 21 because of the handgun age, but I did not like the way that he said that at all. Don’t have the discussion by using a Dem talking point on an ally. His voters will have little motivation to vote if they think he caved. He could give the Democrats everything they want - ban every gun tomorrow - and guess what? They’ll still want him impeached, will still call him Hitler, and still vote Democrat.
Just wait until you see Ivanka’s childcare credit in full action. All her Manhattan pals with their multiple nannies will be having a field day!
He also just said police in Florida should have took Cruz's guns no matter what the law said. Getting close to jump the shark territory there. God help us.
