Following NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch’s appearance on ABC’s This Week in which she defended the organization and its members in the wake of the Parkland shooting, Marjory Stoneman Douglas student David Hogg was interviewed by host George Stephanopoulos. And Hogg took a moment to address Loesch’s remarks and stance.
After stating that his generation has grown up around mass shootings as Columbine was 19 years ago, he looked directly into the camera to talk to the NRA membership about Loesch.

The cowardly deputy saw him get out of the Uber car recognized him and knew who he was and knew he was not supposed to be there. Saw his backpack and a case (gun inside)he was carrying, let him go in.
I hope this movement backfires.

Three JROTC cadets were murdered helping and protecting others - perhaps if they had guns they would have been able to stop the shooter. They were certainly a lot braver than the police who cowered outside. I might be wrong but have to think those three brave cadets would have a different opinion than the despicable Hogg.
I just renewed my NRA membership, for 5 years at $125. My membership will probably outlive me, but that’s okay.
Is this little twerp still handing out wisdom? People must not have much life at all to watch him on TV. It is hard for me to get past all the headlines he is starring in.

The speed at which the anti-gun crowd organizes protests, corporate statements, interviews with supportive kids and all the rest is evidence that they are just waiting for a tragedy to exploit.
Ann Coulter needs to go after this little punk..dancing on the graves of his “friends”....this little coward hid in a closet, shaking like Don Knotts...get your ass out there and bum rush that moron...some friends.
The words of a tide pod eating generation which live with mommy and daddy and have never seen the rest of the world nor has put their life on the line for their mother country are empty and miasmic ripe with the emotions from their formerly inhabited cribs.
Funny you mentioned Ann Coulter. I was just thinking that these annoying teenagers reminded me of Ann going after the 9/11 widows that were attacking Bush nonstop. What was their nickname? Was it Jersey girls? That doesn’t sound right. But maybe it is.

If you really think this is a grassroots, organic movement by students then you also believe Trump genuinely colluded with Russia
I'd like to ask you if the words you are speaking really "belong" to you......or if they are just a product of your "upraising"?
Do "you" really think people like Dana are the enemy........or have your perceptions been "spoon fed" to you over 18 years, by an ex-FBI employee, whose job to "police the country" would have been easier if he was the only one with a gun?
My observations lead me to believe this is very much the case. You were thrown on the TV circuit within hours of this shooting.....as were your friends. When have you had time to properly grieve......much less study the different sides of the gun debate and "decide" for YOURSELF, if what you are promoting on TV are "your views" or just a reflection of what you have been taught to believe by the adults surrounding you? I would think true intelligence demands comprehensive research/documentation, from both sides, to base your opinions on.....especially if you decide to become the "face" of a "policy change" movement.
Unfortunately, when I think of the word spectacle in terms of this tragedy, Dana's name doesn't come to mind. What comes to mind is my witnessing children, being USED, to further adults political agendas after a horrific murder.
I truly wish the best for you and your friends.......and sympathize that you have been thrown to the wolves by people who should have known better, but who have decided their political objectives are more important than you are.
David Hogg is a human shield being thrown up by the anti-2nd Amendment people, a straw man and a sacrifice to be attacked by the ravenous wolves of the Right, a “spokesman” for the shooting victims of Parkland.
REAL cure for future gun violence - make it MANDATORY that every high school student take, and pass, a weapons familiarization course, in the care, feeding, grooming and PROPER use of weapons capable of firing a projectile with enough force to injure or kill a human being. This serves a dual purpose - it demystifies the pistol, rifle, or shotgun as a device, and it also serves to identify the ones who would use these weapons in a careless or a malicious manner.
And, while you are at it, remove the “gun-free zone” from as many places as it is now applied, not only in schools, but in government offices and places of business everywhere. If a would-be mass murderer is faced with an indeterminate number of bullets that could be coming right back at him, it may ameliorate their thinking just a little, and certainly result in a much more rapid response time if the limits of normal circumspect behavior are exceeded.
Don’t annoy other people. And do not be annoyed too easily yourself, taking umbrage at some imagined “privilege” of others.
