C.D.C. Employee Is Missing Nearly Two Weeks After Leaving Work Sick
NYT ^ | 2/25/2018 | Christina Caron

The authorities in Atlanta announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case of a missing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention employee who disappeared about two weeks ago.

The employee, Timothy J. Cunningham, 35, was promoted to commander in the United States Public Health Service in July, his family said. According to the police, he was last seen on Feb. 12.

“I feel like I’m in a horrible ‘Black Mirror’ episode,” Commander Cunningham’s sister, Tiara Cunningham, said in a phone interview on Saturday. “I’m kind of lost without him, to be quite honest.”

Ms. Cunningham, 27, was the last family member to speak with Commander Cunningham before he went missing, she said.

I don’t see the humor in a man missing whose family is in agony.

THIS crap makes me more glad that I accepted Jesus Christ into my life, because if I catch something obscene and fatal, thanks to this clown, at least I know where I will go, by the grace of God.

As this “gentleman” has family in Maryland, this will be a . . .

Combined General and Maryland “Freak State” PING!

Cunningham “reported to work on Feb. 12, but left because he said he wasn’t feeling well. But family said they know something was amiss three days before the 35-year-old Harvard graduate disappeared. “There were some exchanges via phone as well as text that alerted me to be concerned about our son,”

He had said if it got out that it was him who reported the vaccine was causing deaths, he’d be fired or worse. Betting it was correspondence with his family where that info came from.

“... posting said he had left work in his lab coat which is a no-no due to taking contaminants outside.

Certainly, if he’s not feeling well, and he has risked contact with Ebola and Zika, he should lend himself unto the CDC’s doctors and technology rather than simply going home.

I'm still speculating that he caught something weird, and did not want to subject himself to CDC protocols. Maybe he thought he would get "offed" in the CDC, the way Stuart Redman almost was in Stovington, VT, in The Stand.

Of course, he may just have wandered off into the woods to die, in the hopes that other people wouldn't contract whatever horror he has/had.

“We have seen people dying across the country of the flu, and one thing nearly all of them have in common is they got the flu shot,” he said.”

That doesn't surprise me. The relentless pimping of the flu shot for everybody, rather than just vulnerable people -- the way it used to be -- combined with the fact that this season's shot was only 10 to 30 percent effective, could lead to such a co-inkydink.

Then how did he end up working in Ebola and Zika zones?

OK, so we get away from the “he’s sick oh noooeeess!” hysteria to conspiracy hysteria?

Maybe there is something to this vaccine thing. But it’s interesting we know about it at all. Failed conspiracy. How many times does one hear about missing bots at govt agencies?

The man could’ve been generally upset, could’ve faked sickness feelings and just left, or unfortunately gotten caught up with some other crooks.

The family “knew something” was amiss three days before?? What made them think that?

Because the TONE and STYLE of his conversations and communications changed.

I vote that he was abducted...for whatever reason. Leaving the dog unattended almost completely rules out suicide (I know a few things about some suicides). Additionally, leaving his ID tells me leaving wasn't his idea. From the sounds of it, he was pretty close to his family. Even if he wanted to complete suicide, he would have wanted his family to know.

Hit job.

We can’t know what all could have happened to him unless we know what all he could get his hands on.

“...he would lose his job – or suffer an even worse fate.”

That’s some serious paranoia. I’m thinking suicide or maybe smart enough to create an alternate identity and disappear.

He was kidnapped by the KGB, or else he was a KGB agent and he got extracted.

“Dr. Cunningham has also deployed for numerous public health emergencies, including Superstorm Sandy, Ebola, and Zika”

Not really sure what “deployed” means in PHS context. If he went to West Africa between August 2014 and January 2015 and had patient contact - that was dangerous work. Superstorm Sandy? Bleh. Zika? If he want pregnant, no problem.

FWIW, he disappeared the day after that cornstarch was delivered to Don Jr.

Did you accept a different Jesus than the rest of us? Is there one that is so judgmental? I find your comment very untactful. Your timing ....well, hell, there just isn't timing for comments like this. You must be one of those "perfect" Christians. I thank God that I'm just a lowly Catholic...empathy was drilled into me.
