I don’t see it calming down at all. It’s cranking up now along the southern part of the system, dang it. A tornado just popped up in MS and is crossing into TN. If that trend holds, we’ll be under a tornado watch before much longer. So far, that’s all been to the north.
I love thunderstorms but do not like tornados. Not hot at all about getting hit again. Once was plenty!
Are any of your bulbs blooming? It’s been sooooooooo dry.
More and more daffodils are blooming around the farm as each day passes, and now a few trees are starting to bloom. I drove past a house this afternoon that has a huge tulip tree that’s in full bloom. Made my heart sing. Been waiting months for this. LOL
Yeah, kittehs don’t like being touched by something they can’t see. LOL
I sure hope the tornadoes don’t reach your place. If we don’t see you after a while, we’ll know the electricity went off or something.
txradioguy lives at Ft. Knox, and they are under a flood warning, a tornado watch and a flash flood warning, under which they could have to evacuate. They are near the Ohio River and it’s nasty up there, too! The new house they are in the process of buying has damage before they ever move in. :(

Starting to get a little nervous now as more tornado warnings are popping up south of the state line and moving into TN as the line moves east. That keeps up and we could have problems here.
Dang the luck for txradioguy. So sorry to hear about his new house. The Ohio River has been WAY up for a few days and this storm system certainly isn’t going to help. Add the tornado factor and yikes!
Channel 5 News has been showing some of the storm damage and it’s been a rough day and night so far, and it appears to be far from over.

He posted a lot of pictures of the flooding around that area on Facebook. Bad, bad stuff. Thank goodness they haven’t closed on the house yet, so they aren’t liable for the damages!
Hope those storms die out before reaching your area! You do NOT need that kind of drama. A little bit of lightning..ok. Tornadoes, no! Do you have a cellar or a safe place?

There have been a few reports on the news about their flooding this week and it looked awful. It’s really going to be bad after tonight.
Great to know he won’t be liable the damage to the house but it still stinks because they can’t move in when they’d hoped to.
No, we don’t need the drama, especially in the dead of night. It was mid-afternoon when we were hit a few years ago and that was terrifying enough!
No cellar here and the safest place is one of the bathrooms. But with the tons of stuff hoarded upstairs, I don’t think of it as all that safe.
But you know me ..... I’m one of those with my face poked through the back door, watching the lightning. LOL! I figure if I’m gonna die in a tornado, I might as well be having fun when it happens.
Won’t be much longer before the storms reach DH. No current tornado warnings up there but there are severe storm warnings with that line.
Last time I checked DH on my playlist both cams were frozen. I guess I’d better find a better copy so I can see what’s going on.
Is DH in Kentucky or Tennessee? Some said one thing and some said another. So I got confused. LOL! Doesn’t take much.
The wind is picking up but it must be coming from the hill behind the tree. The hill shelters it a little since the trees aren't moving much at the moment. Our trees are rockin' and have been all day.
Most of the lake is in TN but part of it is in KY. I have no clue where the nest is located since they don't exactly advertise locations of eagle nests.
When I tried the YouTube link it was fine this time. I heard the rain start as I was watching something on another tab, and I wondered why it sounded like rain when it was indoors. LOL!
Are things settling down in your area? Hope so!
Yep, it’s starting to rain there but the storms are still a little ways off. Moving in fast though. Thankfully no tornado warnings anywhere now.
Settling down? Not yet. The wind is still whipping outside as the storms head our way. Probably another hour or so before they get here. Several severe storm warning boxes in what will hit us when it gets here.
Have you peeked out to see if you can see any lightning yet?
The rain does seem to be gradually getting heavier in DH. It doesn’t sound windy, though. Actually, it’s kind of soothing. I almost forget what rain sounds like. LOL!
Thanks, unique.

The storms aren’t close enough yet to be able to see lightning but I just went out to dump the rain gauge. Feels kinda nice out there even with the wind.
I can still here wind blowing at DH. You can probably hear it now, too, since it’s picking up. Can certainly see the rain drops blow sideways.
The rain does sound soothing, doesn’t it. It’s making me sleepy ..... or it was until the wind just started roaring in the mic. LOL! Had to turn the volume down.
Holy cow! It’s just gotten quite ugly there. High winds just started. Poor eagles. And people! Blowing the rain sideways!
