With stunning poise and steely confidence, Cameron Kasky, a junior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, confronted U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., live on CNN on Wednesday evening.
Can you tell me right now that you will not accept a single donation from the (National Rifle Association)? he demanded. In the arena where the town hall event was held, the crowd of some 7,000 most of them connected to the school community that was shattered when a gunman killed 17 during a Feb. 14 rampage stood and cheered for more than 20 seconds.
After a bit of back-and-forth, Rubio answered: No. 1, the positions I hold on these issues of the Second Amendment I've held since the day I entered office in the city of West Miami as an elected official.
No. 2, he went on, No. The answer to the question is that people buy into my agenda. The influence of these groups comes not from money. The influence comes from the millions of people that agree with the agenda; the millions of Americans that support the NRA.
A moment later Kasky pressed the point. In the name of 17 people, you cannot ask the NRA to keep their money out of your campaign? he asked. Are you gonna be accepting money from the NRA in the future?
Rubios answer, greeted with jeers: I will always accept the help of anyone who agrees with my agenda.

No, it’s crazy people and the morons who allow them to wander our streets.
With a sign like that, you can be assured that the road ahead is going to be unbiased.
Maybe we can finally make the Democrats happy and pass a All Conservatives Must Have Their Hands Tied Behind Their Backs Law.
And there are more of us every day.
Anyone else have FLORIDA FATIGUE???
As if the 2000 election wasn’t bad enough!

The answer to the question is that people buy into my agenda.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rubio thinks because you voted for him, you buy into amnesty for illegal aliens and arming jihadists in Syria and Libya, too.
Not with a title like that. It’s calling for the Fabianist approach to gun bans.
Eric Zorn, lol. The perennial adolescent in the back of the class throwing spitballs.
For sure, I didn’t read any further.
I have steely confidence that it’s TOTALLY objective.
And I’m stunningly poised as well.
I take it as a compliment. We are the problem - for them. Just as we were the problem for a Hillary presidency.
Poor Eric Zorn . . . a lifetime in “journalism” (literally) and nothing but hate to show for it.
How do you think they are going to load us into the boxcars if our hands are free?
I am proud to be part of a leftist problem.
Eric Zorn is an uber-leftist, and always has been. If Chris Mathews gets a tingle up his leg at the mention of Obama, Eric Zorn gets an erection.
Who would you rather leave a child with, Eric Zorn or Clint Eastwood?
We really need to give a platform to a snot-nosed high school junior. /s
We also need to understand their minds have been deliberately poisoned against the NRA. I have no doubt this brain dead moron believes what he said with his whole heart. That may not go well for him in the years to come.
