The whole episode was an entire waste IMHO.

Hobbies are all just the means by which we slough off excess cash.

A bump stock does not modify the firing mechanism of the rifle. That’s why BATF declined to rule on them. It’s just a device that allows your finger to remain in one place while the recoil of the rifle bounces the trigger against your finger. There are many other ways to accomplish the same effect.

The rate of fire of the M-16 is listed as from 750 to 900 rounds per minute, and you can sight the rifle while so doing. The rate of fire is dependent on the bullet weight (there are two bullets, 55 grain and 62 grain), and the heavier one is slower, thus reducing the rate of fire. At the higher rate, a 20 round mag goes away in a couple of seconds. Back when we were working to add a grenade launcher to the weapon, the military was busy putting a four round burst option on the fire control selector, because in Vietnam, troops were running out of ammo very quickly. Also, it was at that time that the 30-round mag was introduced.

Rather than continuing in your error, why not go read the ATF decision NOT to regulate them, and understand the difference between arms and accessories.

I believe CNN studios are ‘gun-free zones’. I wonder why none of the oligarchs’ assassins ever shoot up a CNN or MSNBC or CBS or AB ... oh, never mind. I know why they don’t send their murderers to their lapdogs’ sites.

If Trump said this, he's letting his stupid hang out.

He said it. Just saw the video of him doing so on the local news.

“I am a single issue voter on two issues: abortion and the second amendment. You fail on either and you fail completely.”

So you’re one of those people who would throw the baby out with the bathwater, because our President has to try and find a way to move forward on any number of issues. There is a long list of radical RATS lining up to run against him in 2020. Any one of them would be your worst nightmare vis a vis the Second Amendment.
From what I have observed, Trump very seldom acts on the first position he takes. I just love the way he’s put both the RATs and the RINOs in a box on Immigration. Now you have La Raza fighting amongst themselves over Trump’s “offer” on DACA.

It can turn a semi-auto into a really fast semi-auto for a few seconds.

I prefer a rubber band.

Exactly , when I put a new stock on a gun I do it to increase accuracy. I’d never put a bump stock on any of my rifles . It was a bad move though becuase next they will want to get rid of retractable and folding stocks. Slippery slope indeed.

My right to arms for defense of self and family does not come from government, but from God. Another difference is that I will not fire on God if He comes to disarm me.

I think it would be a great KARMA if all the lapdogs suddenly had “hysterical” laryngitis and couldn’t speak any more.

Even better if they were suddenly struck with a truth curse, so every time they tried to lie, instead the truth would come rolling out.

Complete public faceplate cave in to the Blood Dancers. Likely encouraged by his daughter crying “for the children”.

Ironically, the second amendment is the reason we don't need to fight to keep the second amendment and other amendments. The governments of other countries incrementally revoke the freedoms of their populations, just as you would probably say Trump is doing by "banning" bumostocks.

But let me put these two ideas to you. The bumpstocks are unlikely to be banned, just their sale. You will still be able to 3-d print one and use it.

Here's a more important consideration: what good is a bumpstock against an army? There's a case to be made that any weapon can be used to fight for freedom against an army. Single shot handguns were air-dropped into France so Frenchmen could use them to kill their occupiers and take their much better weapons.

But a bumpstock? You really think a bumpstock is going to help in any possible way in the fight for freedom?

Big deal. So now buy a binary trigger system. Work better anyway.

a direct violation of the 2nd Amendment.

No, let's call it what is actually is, an inconsequential "ban" of a completely useless item,
