Joe Scarborough often touts his deep roots in the gun culture, growing up in the South. But either he never knew as much about guns as hes claimed, or his passion for gun control has made him forget or ignore what he once knew.
On todays Morning Joe, Scarborough repeatedly claimed that the AR-15, used in Parkland and in other mass shootings, is more lethal than the M-16. H/t FReeper SnuffaBolshevik.

Correct, while the M-16A1 could do full auto, the A2 could only do single shot and 2 round bursts. This because a report showed that spray and pray was so ineffective compared to small bursts or single fire.
That is exactly what I was thinking..
Then my AR-180 is super bad, bad, bad!
lol
Who am I to argue?
Poodle shooter doesn’t sound that tough :)
Am I missing something that a gun expert might? :)

Most poodles are French Poodles so they typically surrender before they can be shot so it's kind of hard to determine just how tough they are.
There is a certain school of thought that is skeptical of the inherent lethality of the 5.56 NATO ammo
Proponents of that particular school of thought feel that 5.56 is inadequate for use against anything more dangerous than a healthy poodle, hence the name poodle shooter. Said non proponents delight in pointing out that 5.56 is illegal to use for hunting deer in a number of states. due to a perceived lack of lethality
Having a combination emergency room and ballistic armor experience with 5.56 , I have a more healthy respect for 5.56 than some but lethality is a relative term and in the big scheme of things hearing a guy like TV Joe speak ominously of AR-15 s and 5.56 NATO as if were a doomsday weapon just short of a tactical nuke makes me giggle
On a more positive note, the current media obsession with AR’s is giving the AK -47 a brief respite from being the media's demonic doomsday weapon of choice
.220, .221 whatever it takes.
When IDIOTS speak.
True the left think MSNBC is a real news org.
I’ve read that the AK was better equipped for battle in Vietnam than our guys guns.
Do you buy .348 or load it yourself. I can't find any .348 and in NYS I can't get it shipped either.
Today’s Scarborough bafflegab...Demonstrating daily that an 85 IQ is sufficient to host TV “news/talk” on MSNBC...
The AK-47 was probably superior in most regions of Vietnam where there was heavy jungle or forest and engagements were at very close range and conditions were harsh
The high velocity 55 gr 5.56 bullet was far more easily deflected by foliage than the low velocity 121 gr 7.62 bullet of the AK 47 and at short range the better ballistics and better long accuracy of the M-16 were moot and more than offset by the higher rate of fire and better reliability of the AK
Every TV show I watch someone with a Glock pistol takes out the full auto rifle every time.
Pray tell me how they diagnose an arrhythmia after death? I have had them all my life and never had a doctor catch them on a tread mill or any other monitor. I had a heart attack 45 years ago and a chest full of stents today and never once had a doctor say, wow you had an arrhythmia there.
The M-16 is illegal for a citizen to own without a class 3 permit because they are fully automatic. If the nutbags want one they would have to steal it from the military or law enforcement.
Joe is a fool and knows very little about anything. He just pulls this crap out of his arse every morning knowing that his audience is too stupid to question it.
I load it.
Bought some brass about 3 years back. They normally only make one run per year. Have not looked for it lately. Think I bought it from Midway Shooter supply.
Bought Hornady FTX bullets, although they can be cast if you don’t push the fps too far.
What?
Do=so.
Dang smartphones.
Hehehe
