I’m against repealing the 2nd Amendment, but repealing it wouldn’t do a freaking thing. The 2nd Amendment only confirms the presumptions of rights in the Constitution. Our right to bear arms exists and is constitutionally protected with or without the 2nd Amendment.

This one could have been avoided pretty easily. First, do this, always: Tell authorities when you spot a genuine weirdo, as multiple people did this time. The cops were very familiar with this guy and multiple citizens warned them. So this one is on failed law enforcement. Then do one of the following, but only one. 1. Removed gun free status and allow teachers, staff and parents to CC like they can anywhere else. 2. Keep it gun free, but if you are going to disarm the innocent, make it like courthouses and airplanes. i.e. Take full responsibility for the safety of those from whom you've taken away the freedom to protect themselves. And own in LEGALLY. i.e. a shooter gets in, expect to get sued by the family of every single victim. Option one or option two. Please pick one.
