Uber driver apparently dropped him off at the school thinking it was a pencil box.
Authorities say the Uber driver is under no suspicion.
If I was an uber driver I may not have been suspicious of a rifle case, but when the destination was a school?

Actually, not a bad idea......our three grandkids stayed with us for four days while parents were out of town. Those book bags/backpacks are excessively heavy, our thirteen year old granddaughters must weigh close to thirty five pounds, if not more. They throw them over their shoulders, carry them on their backs and I think it is ridiculous.

I can answer (1). It was a “Gun Free Zone.” And the truly heroic coach who got killed protecting kids with his body had a CCW permit but was not carrying because it was a “Gun Free Zone.” Doubt the LSM will ever report that.

PS The shooter is a POS and needs to die. Badly. But that’s just my opinion. Defer to God on that score.

This particular young man apparently had legally bought the weapon he used from a registered dealer. He would have passed a background check easily, because he had no background.
Felons and people convicted of domestic violence are prohibited from owning a firearm.
But until you commit your first felony or your first domestic violence conviction, you can buy all the firearms you want, legally...........................

Going to school in the 60s backpacks were not a thing. It was a 3 ring binder on the bottom then books stacked from largest to smallest and carried on the hip - no problem.
