Authorities arrested a Washington state student suspected in a school shooting plot after his grandmother showed officers plans for an attack.
Police in Everett, which is about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Seattle, arrested 18-year-old Joshua Alexander OConnor on attempted murder and other charges at ACES High School on Tuesday, The Daily Herald reported.
Earlier, OConnors grandmother called 911 and showed responding officers a journal where he allegedly drew up plans to shoot students and use homemade explosives at the school, police said.

Wow! Just wow!
So you mean prevention isn’t based on more gun control?
L M A O
Leftists, such a bunch of poofters...
Well you managed to insert “poofters” in there. ;-)
Waterboard him.
Hey, it worked for me...
LOL
Is this suspect yet another adopted DACA baby?
So will Granny be praised by the leftists or will she be criticized for violating his mental health rights?
Well...
Couldn’t tell you. With a last name like O’Connor, I tend to doubt it.
Good for her..must have been the most difficult phone call she ever made but she saved countless lives and her own grandson, who will hopefully get the help he needs
Why can’t these kids just stick to eating Tide Pods?

She called the police and not the FBI. Wise choice!
I’m encouraged that adults are reading kids’ journals. I think a lot of horrible things could be fixed or averted if parents didn’t consider their children’s computers, journals, etc., are “private”.
Very courageous of her in this day and age.
Too bad the FBI isnt as proactive as these local police officers

WOW! So, you mean good parenting, being their PARENT (and not just their friend) and being involved with your kids/grand-kids just might be a solution to school shootings?
Who would have thunk it?!?
His lawyer(s) will just say he was writing a fantasy, nothing to see here; g’ma sued for invasion of privacy. (have to add sarc tag because, well, you know)
Modern parents are too busy trying to be their kids’ “friend” instead of being the PARENT!
Kids have lots of friends at school, they need their parents to be the authoritative, ADULT, questioning and reasoning person in their relationship.
I wasn’t the “friend” of any of my four daughters until they were grown women! Until they were graduated from high school and out on their own, I was their DAD - that was my job!
I questioned, I picked, I prodded, I harped, I judged...in other words, I PARENTED them!
