I’ve argued over the last year that the phony collusion narrative is a symptom of the structural problems with the press. The rise of the Internet, then social media, and gross corporate mismanagement damaged traditional media institutions. As newspapers and magazines around the country went bankrupt when ownership couldn’t figure out how to make money off the new digital advertising model, an entire generation of journalistic experience, expertise, and ethics was lost. It was replaced, as one Obama White House official famously explained, by 27-year-olds who “literally know nothing.”
But the first vehicles of the Russiagate campaign were not bloggers or recent J-school grads lacking wisdom or guidance to wave off a piece of patent nonsense. They were journalists at the top of their profession—editors-in-chief, columnists, specialists in precisely the subjects that the dossier alleges to treat: foreign policy and national security. They didn’t get fooled. They volunteered their reputations to perpetrate a hoax on the American public.
That’s why, after a year of thousands of furious allegations, all of which concerning Trump are unsubstantiated, the press will not report the real scandal, in which it plays a leading role. When the reckoning comes, Russiagate is likely to be seen not as a symptom of the collapse of the American press, but as one of the causes for it.

Its common in failing institutions and even societies that they often just double-down on their historical thinking and practices. The US MSM has steadily become more leftist and ideological - and in fact, as the water in their pond evaporates, their pollution becomes more concentrated.

That is due in large part to the radical shift to leftist teachings in schools from kindergarten and beyond to the highest degrees possible. In other words, the majority are leftists thinkers themselves. Very few percentage wise come out as conservative thinkers.
The other side of the coin is that they have moved to obstruction of justice as they think they have a winner there.

I think these so called left wing activists pretending to be journalists actually believe that promoting lies in the name of their progressive cause helps their reputations among their peers.
The WAS Russian Collusion but it was the HILLIARY CAMPAIGN that did it, not Trump!
They invented that entire crap story out of thin air and used it to overthrow a sitting President with whom they disapproved.
No wonder Bradlee assigned a couple of nobodies to the story in case it blew up in their faces. "Let's not waste real reporters on this fairy tale."
Wonder how much they paid that weasel to come out as Deep Throat. Yeah. Just as real as "Little Jimmy" and another story they made up out of whole cloth and got Pulitzer prizes for their lies. And then got caught without any repercussions to Bradlee and Graham.
After all, they got away with it before on Watergate. "Let's try again gang!"

before Hillary started to openly campaign she invited to a party most of her conspirators in the media. this list of people should all be investigated for there roles in reporting the fake dossier. I believe you will find that The Clintons have controlled theses people through payoffs and black mail along with threatening the families of those that showed up at her party.

To totally freak out CNN, NBC or any of the other Fake News all it would take would be to print a few hundred copies of this article (double-sided and stapled) and stand outside their main office on the sidewalk with a sign saying “Fake News!” When people pass by offer them a copy.
Congress recommended criminal charges against Steele for lying to the FBI.
Steele lied to the FBI. Why didn’t the FBI recommend charges?
It seems the FBI wanted to cover this up.
