WINSTON SALEM (AP/WNCN) - Authorities say a man accused of drunken driving in a fatal ambulance crash in North Carolina is subject to deportation pending the criminal case’s outcome.

Police say Romero’s car hit the ambulance carrying a 3-year-old boy and his mother, causing it to overturn.
Police found the ambulance overturned on the curb of U.S. 52 southbound near the Liberty Street exit around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, WFMY reported.
The boy later died in a hospital. Three adults on the ambulance had minor injuries, according to the TV station.

Drunk driving is a violent crime. Illegal aliens should be deported the first time they are caught driving drunk even if they aren’t in a crash. If they kill someone, they should be tried for second degree murder. When he serves his time deported. ICE should pick him up at the gate of the prison and take him to the airport and put him on a plane.
Drunk driving is far and away the leading cause of traffic deaths and injuries. According to Mothers against Drunk Driving “in 2016, 10,497 people died in drunk driving crashes – one every 50 minutes – and 290,000 were injured in drunk driving crashes.” “Drunk driving costs the united states $132 billion a year.”
Sheesh.
Let’s jail the Illegal in a cell with the same cities mayor.
Next illegal involved in any crime gets jailed in another cell with the assistant mayor, and on down the line.
The penalty should be death by lethal injection of alcohol.
I honestly think there is NOTHING this country can do within the framework of our laws to put a stop to this. It can only be slowed somewhat. There isn’t a law tough enough to stop drunks, rapists, and drug dealers from coming back again and again. It is going to take a change to the Constitution to allow lifetime imprisonment sentences in military run detention camps, with no Federal Court oversight, or summary execution for certain classes of criminals caught trying to sneak back in.
Give him a fair trial, convict him, hang him, then deport him.
Why not make him walk to the border?
Exactly right. Firing squad would be right with all the guns on the squad fully loaded. I'd volunteer. Spent 3 years in Korea during the war, no problems..

Yes it is. I live in Clemmons NC so it will be interesting to see what happens. My opinion. Don’t deport. Try him. Put him in jail. When sentence is done THEN deport him.
He should be mailed back to his home country in several small packages.
They should be using his BONES to help build the wall; after he’s spent HOURS building it with his own hands.

I, for one, am tired of the pansy-ass judges and lawyers giving any/every benefit-of-the-doubt to all BUT Citizens/taxpayers.

Don’t know about deporting, but I count it as POLLUTION.

I am sure that is what happened with the illegal alien whose car hit the car of my 81 year old father, who died 3 weeks later from the injuries. The Mexican illegal was deported by the state of Illinois in 2006.
Why deport him? He’ll just skulk back over the border again to kill another day.
