A congressman on the House Intelligence Committee claims the court that oversees warrant applications for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act knew of the political origins of the "Trump dossier."
According to a transcript of a Monday night meeting, Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., said there is something in the Democratic members own intelligence memo that shows the FISA court judge was alerted that the author of the dossier, Christopher Steele, was commissioned by opposition research group Fusion GPS, which was paid in part by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clintons campaign...

The corruption on so many levels is mind-boggling.
No, that would be impeachment & removal by the Congress.
But read the entire thing.
Officially, the FISA judges are appointed by the Chief Justice, but nominated by POTUS. It’s a terrible set up with them having rotating 7 year terms. So by 2020, assuming a Trump reelection, ALL the FISA judges would be his nominees. While I prefer that scenario, it doesn’t make for a totally unbiased court.

Thanks for the link. I will read it, but sometimes I get lost in Subdances prose.
I am really beginning to wonder if congressional investigators were provided altered fisa warrant applications by DOJ/FBI.
Whatever you think about Sessions, he doesn’t control the FISA court. It is overseen by the Chief Justice of the SC and that would be Roberts. Congress can however impeach, convict and remove a Federally appointed Judge.
Thanks!
Any of these “judges” upgraded their housing (lately) in the last few years?
Any of these judges moving thru multiple houses? That costs money $$$.
I’ve been saying that for over a week. If the FISA Judge HAD been snookered, and now found out about it, we’d be hearing something other than crickets from that direction. The Obola judge(s) knew it was tainted, but at O’s behest, approved the spying warrant anyhow. D-E-E-P State!
Himes now wants people to believe that a FISC judge was told the info in the Steele document was paid for by the Clinton campaign and the DNC, and the judge approved the surveillance request?
Sounds like he also has a New York City bridge to sell.
I mean a FISC judge who did that was begging to be impeached and removed from office. Sheesh.
Mewziila has provided an important link in #23.
Just exactly how many judges were involved in the initial FISA warrant applucation and the three renewals?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Only if the subject ever came to light.
They are also be arrested for violating the law by participating in an insurrection along with other seditious activities.
Himes is saying it did. And we’re expected to believe him, rather than the facts.
“””I am really beginning to wonder if congressional investigators were provided altered fisa warrant applications by DOJ/FBI.”””
You are correct to be skeptical. I believe either Nunes or Grassley has issued a request to FISA Court to get the exact documents given to FISA Court by DOJ/FBI precisely because Nunes or Grassley does not trust the DOJ/FBI.
Thats what I think. The judge is also corrupt. If he accepts material concocted by an opposition campaign to target surveillance of a presidential candidacy, then that judge has lost all credibility and should probably be locked up.
They are counting on you buying into the sanctity of the Court and your unquestioning acceptance of the impartiality of the judge.
> Jeff Drowsy Sessions
Now, now, don’t disturb Beauregard.
He’s off doing REALLY important stuff, like chasing down pot heads and enforcing asset forfeiture laws, donchaknow.
I have read that Nunes and/or Goodlatte are pushing for this.
Even Carter Page has requested all of the documents to be made public. He is still a question mark in my mind.
But there is no good answer here.
If the documents provided to congressional investigators were accurate, then it is almost a foregone conclusion that the FISA judges acted improperly. See Andrew McCarthys most recent article for more.
If the documents provided to congressional investigators were altered, that would create almost unimaginable problems for both DOJ and FBI, and the lawful administration of justice in this country.
