Nunes urged committee Democrats to make "the appropriate technical changes and redactions" to the document as recommended by the Justice Department "so that no sources and methods are disclosed and their memo can be declassified as soon as possible."

And IIRC, Congress can override the president’so decision. But my bet is they don’t want to have to vote and leave their fingerprints all over the decision to release. They want to try to blame Trump instead.

The Nunes memo is one great step in getting a special counsel appointed to go after the whole cabal.
And it is quite effective.
The Grassley memo is as good, or better. Same strategery.
