White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter has resigned amid allegations that he abused two of his ex-wives. The Daily Mail reported on domestic abuse allegations on Wednesday from two of Porter’s ex-wives, Colbie Holderness and Jennifer Willoughby, who shared stories and photo evidence of repeated physical abuse.
According to Axios, Porter had been urged by some White House staff including Gen. John Kelly to “stay and fight” for his position.
Porter, the Daily Mail previously reported, is currently in a relationship with White House Communications Director Hope Hicks and was a close ally of Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

I used to have a Birthday Card. It asked how old are you. When you opened it up a recording came on that played theme from Law and Order, and said “you have the right to remain silent”.

I have had a position where I read dozens, even hundreds of police reports (unredacted) every week. Absolutely amazing the sheer number of idiots who talk to the cops.
Unless you are the victim or a witness, say NOTHING without a lawyer present. Nothing. If you do, and I mean anything beyond name and address and provide ID, you are an idiot and deserve whatever happens to you. 5 out of 6 tweakers (meth users) would self-implicate; not surprising but also ostensibly intelligent people, over and over again they think they can explain their way out of it (be it a traffic ticket or a rape investigation). I knew a high school student who just happened to be taking some friends home after a football game. She was flagged over by a cop, because someone had let out horses from a riding stable. One of the horses was hurt.
The next day they were interviewing all former employees including this young lady. She did go in and talk to them, since she had no part and had witnesses that she was at the game the whole time.
The day after that she was at my house -friend of my daughter, when they contacted her to take a polygraph test. I told her no way to do that, it’s just an excuse to have something to get a warrant. I told her to tell them she needed to consult her parents, and gave her the name of a lawyer to see.
He told her that if they asked to talk to her again, to just say no-I have already told you all I know. The lawyer said that if they plan to arrest you they will, but they were going to anyway, and talking would just give them extra time to hammer on you.
So that’s what she did. The cop then said “another day and another way”. But, that was it. She didn’t have anything to do with it.

Looks like a coordinated hit on another member of the Trump team (he helped write the successful State of the Union address).
Clearly, the ex-wife had been coached on how to phrase things, and buzz words to use, to spin it to make it sound as bad as possible.
The FBI interviewed the ex-wives as part of his security clearance investigation, so this may be another deep state strike, abusing confidential FBI records to attack another political enemy. Maybe they are trying to make an example of him, to scare off others.
There needs to be some heat turned up on him to leave Congress too.
Did he mention what the reality about the black eye was? Easy enough to do and it might help matters.
