I don’t know him, and don’t know if I ever ran across him on FR, but I am always sad when we lose a patriotic fighter.
RIP, GladesGuru.

Thanks for posting this.
April will be my 20th FR anniversary. FR is not what it once was. I miss those days of activism.
Godspeed GG.

I can sure see a “like-minded” fellow traveler of yours Mark. I don’t recall ever exchanging ideas with him. Sounds like a great loss to the future of the Everglades. I’m sure he will be missed. It’s always sad when we lose a fellow Freeper.

Sounds like a great loss to the future of the Everglades Maybe not. We'll see if I can build on his legacy.

Sort of an East to West meet to honor Freepers past, present, and recently passed and their contributions to the FR Family as well as to the world we live in. What a great gathering of souls. To GG a gentle and productive RIP.

I'm so sorry to hear this.
"Farewell to Thee! But not farewell
To all my fondest thoughts of Thee;
Within my heart they still shall dwell
And they shall cheer and comfort me.
Life seems more sweet that Thou didst live
And men more true Thou wert one;
Nothing is lost that Thou didst give,
Nothing destroyed that Thou hast done."

what a great day to see if you were still around after randomly running into Nattie Shea’s book report on a Tale of Two Cities!
Very sorry you lost your friend but I’m very excited about your opportunity to practice what you preach!
if you don’t mind the signaturely off-topic interruption, please tell me what your girls are up to!
(that’s a lot of exclamation points this early the morning after a pool hall night but, even though I’m still in the Northwest, it IS last weekend of Carnival! #feeinit)

whoa, a third book! Enjoym and do let me know what you think.
Both girls are in the latter part of their PhD programs, NattieShea in fungal-plant interactions with a hefty emphasis upon bioinformatics and Katherine in pork production.
