Black members of Congress made sure they would be heard last night, even if President Donald Trump was doing all the talking.
Members of the CBC (Congressional Black Caucus) wore brightly colored yellow, green, black and red kente cloth accents to President Trumps first State of the Union address, as a sign of defiance against his sh*thole* comments about African and Caribbean countries.
The whole idea was to show support for Africa, particularly after the President called Africa and Haiti s-holes, said Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in an exclusive interview with theGrio. We thought it would be important for us to demonstrate our support in some way.

Yep, protesting something that never happened (sorry, I believe Trump before I believe Dickless Durbin).
And you wouldnt have to go back to the 1940s to find one. In fact, for many years now the DOJ crime statistics have shown that almost 100% of black/ white interracial rape is black on white. White on black rape is statistically nil.
I’m glad they wore those outfits; we no longer have to pretend those particular people wearing them are “American”.
That garbage just screams, “I can’t assimilate”...
“In addition to kente cloth, members wore round red pins with the name Recy as a tribute to 97-year-old Recy Taylor of Alabama, who survived a gang rape by six white men in 1944 and never saw justice.”
This is Trump’s fault?
Well, what are ya gonna do, a shit-hole is a shit-hole is a shit-hole.
All they accomplished was identifying themselves as enemies of America.
>>Heres the truth: They are racists. And the scarves are an overt display of their racism.<<
BINGO! You have it exactly right, and it has burned my arse for decades that these OVERT Racists have gotten a free pass to display their racism to the world without even a freaking whimper of protest. Sickens me bigtime!
But “we wuz kayngs ‘n’ sheeit”. That’s what’s important. “Muh feelz.”
If they're hand woven in Africa by African women, they probably have.
This is all a non-story, though. Yesterday's fashion choices won't be remembered tomorrow.
>>Downright insulting,and VERY low class.<<
Without a doubt the most racist people in America.
I personally know some missionaries that worked tirelessly there!
F that sh*thole excuse for a country which to this day maintains as one of its national heroes, a man who slaughtered white infants. Let them get their gibmes from other blacks.
Let’s hope they don’t give German-Americans any ideas. Those boys will show up in lederhosen and start pushing people around.
Well, it has nothing to do with prosperity, that is.
I wish that gullible whites would open their eyes and see that its not, and may never have been, about equality. Its about upending the past order (and just see how thats working out in South Africa).
Recy Taylor (née Corbitt; December 31, 1919 December 28, 2017
On September 3, 1944, Taylor was kidnapped while leaving
church and gang-raped by six white men. Despite the men’s
confessions to authorities, two grand juries subsequently
declined to indict the men; no charges were ever brought
against her assailants

‘Kente’? As in Kunta Kente? They are friggin’ racists!!!!
(sarcasm is both on and off)
Please help me here. Were Durbin’s “recollections” of the Meeting verified by independent sources and / or President Trump and I missed it?
I didn’t see the word “alleged” used in the story.
Effem. The ones who weren’t there, too.....
