Nunes Statement on FBI, DOJ Objections to Release of HPSCI Memo
Ushouse ^

Posted on 01/31/2018 12:52:48 PM PST by janetjanet998

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement today:

“Having stonewalled Congress’ demands for information for nearly a year, it’s no surprise to see the FBI and DOJ issue spurious objections to allowing the American people to see information related to surveillance abuses at these agencies. The FBI is intimately familiar with ‘material omissions’ with respect to their presentations to both Congress and the courts, and they are welcome to make public, to the greatest extent possible, all the information they have on these abuses. Regardless, it’s clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counter-intelligence investigation during an American political campaign. Once the truth gets out, we can begin taking steps to ensure our intelligence agencies and courts are never misused like this again.”

Neither was Star. Lets wait and see how this turns out.

I’m not very fond of Sessions first year.

Hopefully he’ll redeem himself in time.

That’s what people who still have hell on their mind think.

However it would disunite.

He’s responding to Schiff..

The FBI confirms that the memo contains “material omissions of fact” that “fundamentally impact” its accuracy. Nunes used this memo to mislead the House. Will the President now use it to mislead the country?

I was just thinking. Can you imagine Wray going to Trump and saying if you release the memo then I will quit.

Not bad for a dumb Portuguese dairy farmer from Fresno. /sarc

Nunes happened to have graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, not Harvard or Princeton. Amazing isn't it?

He has fought the water wars in the San Joaquin Valley for years. He knows who the Deep State is and how the powers that be are are trying to destroy our beloved country. We have felt it immensely in this valley. Nunes is my Congressman and I am so damn proud of him.

By delaying the release of the Memo seems Trump and team are giving more rope time for all the miscreants to tangle themselves up further and get even more desperate.

The FBI memo is a public relations doc. More of the same I’m afraid. The FBI has become thoroughly politicized and corrupt. It needs to be rebuilt.

REP. TREY GOWDY (R-SC): My Democratic colleagues didn’t want us to find this information. They did everything they could to keep us from finding this information. I think it will be embarrassing to Adam Schiff once people realize the extent to which he went to keep them from learning any of this. That would be the embarrassment...

I mean, going to court to help Fusion GPS so we can’t find out they paid for the dossier, and that they were working for the DNC. That’s a pretty big step to go to court to try to keep the American people from learning something. So, if it were up to Adam Schiff, you wouldn’t know about Hillary Clinton’s email. You wouldn’t know about the server. You wouldn’t know about the dossier. I do find it ironic that he has his own memo right now because if it were up to him, we wouldn’t know any of it.

If it hurt Trump, the Dems and media would have been hammering us with it for weeks.

Why do we need Special Counsels. Sessions should make his arrests along with the Memo disclosure. Maybe they are waiting for Sessions to get on board. Seems to me sessions has no intention of getting involved. He should be charged for several crimes involved with his official duties and non performance.

Isn’t Trump’s right hand man, Sessions, in charge of the DoJ/FBI?

Trey Gowdy, who said coincidentally today he is ending his political career, also signed the Ethics Committee complaint against Devin Nunes. Both Schiff and Gowdy prevented Nunes from accessing Classified docs until they decided to clear him, coincidentally to the IG releasing info bit by bit in Dec.
