The Storm Over The Capitol, Washington, DC
A certain type of person seeks political power. And it seems many have some kinds of needs they cant control. So they become owned by those who paid them off in silver or [meow].
One thing I liked about Trump is he had no deficit of power, fame, money, or [meow] so wasnt running to get his hands on any of that.
Her dentures were trying to make a break for it and escape into the crowd.
Dont forget hes contemabull!.
Thank God for our ancestors. I never knew any of my grandparents. They were all gone before I was born in 1947. My father worked for the New York Central Railroad for 50 years. My mother was a housewife. My Dad would never let her work outside the home. And my Dad was a better cook than my mother. Even though he wasn’t Italian, he made great spaghetti sauce with meatballs and sausages every Saturday. Still miss it.
Ditto.
As I posted earlier I was in MIDDLE school when JFK became my Congressman-————I’ve had this vile family in my life since then-——seventy years. (No wonder I get cranky.)
.
And it really does matter; especially because I know what my ancestors and extended family members died from.
Wow. Id love to hear the story of your daughter one day. That is amazing.
I saw an interview recently where one of the interviewees, a liberal, made a comment against President Trump. But then admitted that when they were young and starting out, that a young Donald Trump actually got them their first job in media in a big market. Even though they voted against him, being on the left, they admit he was a decent, good man who made connections for them to get ahead in their career.
You can hear stories about Donald Trump helping people quiet;y behind the scenes all day long.
Ive never heard of anyone receiving help from an Obama or a Clinton.
The takeaway line of the night. We will hear those words again I betcha.
That one line alone will serve to crush the Democrats and the lies they tell. Theirs is a house of cards, built of cynicism, avarice, and a hunger for power.
They showed us that tonight, with the help of a VERY powerful leader. The Donald's gung fu is even more lethal than even I knew. Once I think I've seen all there was to see of his ability, he shows me more.
What does the future hold for this man. And for this country. We WILL be great again. This man can and will fight through the small people who stand against him. Of this, I have no doubt and hold no fear.
I watched Wallace’s show during the campaign..how they all knocked and criticized Trump, including Krauthammer. I saw them all for what they are..establishment They never thought Trump would win and were ready to bow to She-Who-Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda-Been-Queen.
Best news ever! Luis is a communist and has no intention of listening to proud USA!! chants.
Tonight was the only time Luis got push back for anything. These people live in a bubble, truly. He could not take it.
+1
REALLY? Have you spent any time ever bothering to check into how many of the public works in your town are failing or downright dangerous?
There are tons of things in my town and county that have just been patched up for decades, waiting for the time they might actually get fixed somehow.
And the jobs created fixing this stuff could set a lot of kids along the right path.
State funding is fine, more power to it, but especially in depressed-income states, a little fed help wouldn’t hurt.
Do you also rail against federal help for fire or flood-damaged areas?
I’m wondering who the speech writer(s) were that helped President Trump with this speech...soooooo great!
I had that on my mom’s side, my uncle. No one on the Italian side. i went to sicily and met a bunch of my dad’s cousin and kids, but they really didn’t know much about my grandfather.
I looked up the white pages in messina and other parts of sicily and sent letters. But no response. So beyond my great grand parents names, nothing on that side.
Recently I got a copy of my mom’s ancestors discharge from the revolutionary army. A photo of an engraved metal plate about the size of a large cell phone. Prior to that we couldn’t get earlier than the civil war. My mom was Irish and English and she used to fight with herself.
“I’n very lucky that my family had a “family historian” for man y generations; I’m it, until I teach the next one.”
Same here. An aunt did it first. When she died, it fell to me. I’m trying to pass the torch to someone else. Nobody wants to do it. I guess “ya gotta wanna” — and they don’t wanna.
LOL. I'm responding to your comment because after watching President Trump's SOTU speech, I turned on "Better Late Than Never" with William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman, and Henry Winkler. I'd recorded it last night. Stand-up comedian Jeff Dye escorts them on all their trips. They are in Morocco at a restaurant, and Jeff asks Henry is he wants a Hookah, and Winkler with a straight face says: "No, we're all married." I know it was a staged joke, but it was funnier than hell.
