A certain type of person seeks political power. And it seems many have some kinds of needs they can’t control. So they become owned by those who paid them off in silver or [meow].
One thing I liked about Trump is he had no deficit of power, fame, money, or [meow] so wasn’t running to get his hands on any of that.
I understand an agree with your point. That said, I honestly don’t understand basing your existence on any of those things. We all live finite lives, and in the end the most important measure of what kind of life we’ve led is how much we’ve done and sacrificed to make the world a better place. Many of the people Trump had at the SOTU tonight were examples of that kind of giving. The measure of a person isn’t how much silver they have, or who knows them. In that context, I think what Trump is doing now is immensely more important than anything he’s done before.
