Hillary Clinton herself was not worried about even the appearance of scandal caused by transmitting classified documents over a private home-brewed server, or enabling her husband to shake down foreign donations to their shared foundation, or destroying some 30,000 emails. Evidently, she instead reasoned that she was within months of becoming President Hillary Clinton and therefore, in her Clintonesque view of the presidency, exempt from all further criminal exposure. Would a President Clinton have allowed the FBI to reopen their strangely aborted Uranium One investigation; would the FBI have asked her whether she communicated over an unsecure server with the former president of the United States?
Former attorney general Loretta Lynch, in unethical fashion, met on an out-of-the-way Phoenix tarmac with Bill Clinton, in a likely effort to find the most efficacious ways to communicate that the ongoing email scandal and investigation would not harm Hillary Clintons candidacy. When caught, thanks to local-news reporters who happened to be at the airport, Lynch sort of, kind of recused herself. But, in fact, at some point she had ordered James Comey not to use the word investigation in his periodic press announcements about the FBI investigation.
How could Lynch in the middle of an election have been so silly as to allow even the appearance of impropriety? Answer: There would have been no impropriety had Hillary won...

How could former deputy director of the FBI Andrew McCabe assume an oversight role in the FBI probe of the Clinton email scandal when just months earlier his spouse had run for state office in Virginia and had received a huge $450,000 cash donation from Common Good VA, the political-action committee of long-time Clinton-intimate Terry McAuliffe?
Again, the answer was clear. McCabe assumed that Clinton would easily win the election.

Jim and Tammy Baker asked for donations, then used the donations as they deemed fit.
The Clintons used government guns to force people to give them money, i.e. taxes, used the funds to fund their friends and fellow travelers, the killed anyone who might have given that away.
I am pretty sure the Bakers never had anyone killed.
This is amazing for Victor Davis Hanson, very different than if Rush had said the same thing. I have read a huge amount of his work, and VDH has never come across in any manner other than objective intellectual. This article is very likely accurate, but its conclusions do not have the usual intellectual hedging as a nod to objectivity. I am genuinely shocked that VDH would write this even if it’s what he thinks.
The only plausible explanation I can find is that VDH has been analyzing what happened for a very long time with his powerful mind. He has been unable to find any other logical explanation, so he decided to publish something that seems on the surface out of character. His analysis has no visible holes at all, and I cannot imagine a logical explanation other than the conclusion he published. Impressive . . . and frightening.
The Bakers didn’t want most of us dead, the rest in chains.
...you're going to need a bigger "flow chart".
I like that!
Hillary wore more faces
Jim=Bill
No one.
This is more than a little disturbing, this unremitting hostility in power. It is, however, the natural distillation of identity politics. It is also why being inside the favored group requires a certain ideological solidarity quite apart from mere physical membership; why Thomas Sowell is not "black" and Sarah Palin is not "a woman". In one of his YouTube treatments of the subject VDH expresses his surprise to learn that his (legal) Hispanic farm help was voting Trump and how the artisan "with three teeth missing" who repaired his $15,000 pump by hand, had no place in the Democrat party's current incarnation. To the Democrats they are "people one does not meet and who therefore do not exist" in Theodore Dalrymple's neat formulation.
So yes, it was a fantastic level of hubris that infected the Hillary campaign, a nearly universal sense of entitlement and self-pity, and a frustrated conviction of inevitability that provided the outrage, and they're not over it yet. What that would have been like in power is frightening to contemplate.
That was my conclusion as well.
Add to that the fact that the classically educated Hanson was stumped by Trump when Trump started knocking off his primary opponents. So he has had to overcome a profound case of WTF re: Trump.
That said, it looks like VDH is catching on. I think his capacity to understand complex social, political, and military shifts is enabling him to develop a better late then never sense of clarity about what has been happening in DC.
It is scary as hell to imagine where this country would be if Trump had lost.
VA legislature is passing new state law that makes it illegal for any candidate, successful or not- to keep and spend the ir campaign donations.
Point of fact here is that Jill McCabe stood ZERO chance of beating the conservative anti-abortion Republican Richard Black. The payment, which was a pass through Mcaulliffe, was really from the Clinton Global Initiative political funds, and the amount was way over 450K more like 600-700K.
It was, as a result, a “retainer” for McCabe to “handle” the email investigation and neuter it- paid through her in a fairly ham handed way, noticed by all. Mcauliffe as the longtime bagman for the clintons from way back, is NOT a Virginian- he’s a damn yankee from upstate NY... and... at least a bottle a day scotch or bourbon alcoholic (see his facial florid color and washed out hair color (classic boozer). He is also under federal corruption investigation concurrently- and has much to worry about. Northam should be neutered by the Legislature.
“Pride comes before a fall.” Their ego and sense of entitlement finally collapsed on them. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving crowd of people.
McAuliffe is a low life, currupt, dangerous political thug that belongs in prison. People like him don’t belong anywhere near the reins of power. He’s cut out of the same cloth as Harry Reid.
The irony is that the polls were fixed to give the impression that Hillary was unstoppable. The mistake they made was they believed the fake polls and acted on them.
Wile E was in charge of the plan B.
One wonders why he would heap praise on a known turncoat.
“One wonders why he would heap praise on a known turncoat.”
I try to keep up with his articles. Did I miss something? Which turncoat did he praise?
Imagine a scenario in which you run into Sid Blumenthal and Terry Mcauliff in a sinking boat? You only have room to save one. Which one do you save?
