Alec Baldwin on Sunday continued to defend embattled director Woody Allen, who has been dogged by sexual abuse claims against him by adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow.

Previously, Baldwin called her allegations “unfair and sad.” On Sunday, he took it a step further and compared Dylan Farrow to Mayella Ewell, the character in the classic "To Kill a Mockingbird," who falsely accuses an African American man of rape.

Since Dylan Farrow was a small child during the craziness surrounding her parents’ split, it is plausible that she is telling the truth when she says that Woody Allen abused her and that Woody Allen is telling the truth when he says that he did not abuse her. This is one situation where Alec Baldwin should keep his mouth shut, or at least defend Woody Allen without attacking his accuser — and I am much more skeptical about this #metoo stuff than most people.
