The White House does not have to approve the release of a currently classified memo assembled within the House of representatives which purports to display extensive abuse of FISA authority within the FBI, deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told WMAL Wednesday morning.
We dont have to approve it. They have the right to de-classify the document, Gidley told Daily Caller editorial director Vince Coglianese and WMAL host, citing legal minds consulted by the executive branch.

The President has the authority to classify and to declassify information.
To cover the legal basis he should make an executive order (short and simple) "I herby declassify the memorandum dated XXXX, SUBJECT: XXXX , effective immediately.")
Let the swamp challenge it if they want to.
But publish it without further ado.

Its not just that the People deserve to know, the People have a responsibility to know.
Its our government and we allowed all this crap to happen - Now we must make sure it is corrected and the traitors are brought to justice.

Cheryl Atkinson made a great point talking to Hannity the other day. If the FBI was willing to use a lie to get a warrant to stop Trump, how many other times has the FBI lied to get convictions against other people?
There may be a lot of defense attorneys taking a hard look at this about now.

There are 1.2m pages of supporting docs from which the short Nunes memo is drawn. Congress never got those. Only ~1,000 or so per Mark Meadows. DOJ still holding out, which is allowing Democrats to claim Nunes hasn't yet seen the actual documents the report is supposedly based on.

Chris Farrell must be a FReeper. :)A 'true' FREEPER does NOT have enough time left in the day to actually perform anything useful.

That WH post was made at time of request from Intel Committee to release, and if they had released, there was 5 days for the WH to refuse or say release. If they did not reply it would be released. The point of the Memo.... they would not respond so it could be released!

WH wasn’t doing that, he was allowing the Intel Committee/Nunes to release it on their own, while he was at DEVOS. It was not in Trump’s best interest to tackle that before his trip to Davos, when he would be out of country. That WH comment worked with protocol that, if the Intel/Nunes released the memo, as required he would not respond negatively and after 5 days it would become public.
PEOPLE ON FR respond so often without understanding the laws or protocols that bind the President. OR that his comments are not binding, when trying to deal with Democrats but are testing, pulling out truth, or showing public Dems real interest/meaning. If he signs it, then he approves it! If he does not have to respond ‘no’, it will happen, then he will likely let Congress do its’ job!

Perhaps we’ll have an Oprah like presidency after all. Trump could give out free trips to Guantanamo Bay at the State of the Union Address by walking down the aisle pointing and shouting, you’re going to Gitmo and you’re going to Gitmo and you’re going to Gitmo...
