So what I get is that the Senate, Dems and Republicans, overwhelmingly voted to confirm RR based on the fact that he promised a special counsel to investigate "Russia".
Therefore Dems don't have a leg to stand on if this investigation goes against Dems, obozo and HRC. THEY all voted for him.
If Sessions had NOT recused himself it would have been seen as partisan since he was confirmed almost down party lines.
