If it’s about logistics, they’ll add the East coast to complement the west. If it’s about corruption it will be in Illinois.

Why is Atlanta ever in the running? Have they seen the traffic nightmare there?

I’m surprised that neither Caldwell or Horsehoe Bend (Idaho) are on the list.

My son lives in Plano, TX and he says they are gearing up for the move. They just Got Toyota and he says the city is giving away the farm in abatements and tax discounts. Besides, NO state income tax!

Any guesses how much the local ratepayer will have to chip in, in order to “win” this competition?

I think Philly probably has a good shot at it. They could absorb new workers in terms of housing etc with little problem. I think Nashville Raleigh etc are too small to deal with the housing price shock.

Chicago would be a decent bet too, and maybe Toronto if Amazon wants to give Trump the finger.

Why buy anything from Amazon anyway?

They support abortion. I won’t buy from them.

Not just the locals. The whole frigging state. NYS pols are refusing to tell citizens what the pols have promised Amazon. NYS is over $4 bil in the hole. We can’t afford Amazon.

I hope we get it. We could use some money here.
The only problem is we have a 4% wage tax.

I think its gonna be Toronto because it meets all Amazon’s objectives and it isn’t in the United States.

Trudeau is Bezos’ kind of guy and Jeff will reward him.

Plano doesn’t have much space for something like that. Perhaps the old EDS or Perot facilities, but both are currently occupied. I don’t think there is enough space at the old TI facility that is being renovated. There are remnants from 3 or so family farms, but the old Owens farm in Richardson would make more sense.

Well, there is Collin Creek Mall. That would probably work nicely, now that I think of it.
