Mwewa Mwange says that she is shy and avoids conversations, too afraid of awkward moments. But ever since she became eligible for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, she slowly came out of her shell.
She is one of almost 700,000 undocumented immigrants brought to the US as children who have DACA, which offers temporary protection from deportation and the opportunity to apply for work permits. But she’s specifically passionate about black immigrants, a demographic she says often gets ignored in immigrant advocacy circles.
“I can step out of this shadow or out of this hiding and be able to tell my story because other people can’t,” she says. “Because in telling my story, other people are finally hearing like, ‘Wait, there’s undocumented black people?’”

I’m White, and I’ve never mistreated anyone on any racial basis nor advocated for the mistreatment of anyone on any racial basis.
Being cast as an oppressor simply due to being White is a lie.
Being cast as privileged is also a lie, as I have scars to prove the toil it has taken to get anything I’ve ever gotten.

Many years ago I visited Australia and fell in love.I visited another half dozen times over the following 35-40 years.When I retired I decided to apply for one of their "Green Cards" with the idea of living there about 4 months a year.
Long story short...I discovered that I didn't come close to qualifying for one under their "Points System" immigration policy.The reason? Too old and not having a skill in demand there.
However,having been rejected I would never *dream* of violating their immigration or residency laws.
I believe in borders.I believe in the right of *all* countries to have borders and enforce those borders.
That's my attitude in a nutshell.

Absolutely. And bring in everybody from the whole world who wants to come here. Deport all patriotic Americans (liberals get to stay), but make sure to confiscate our assets first to take the best possible care of the new arrivals.

I agree with you on both counts. In the local community I treat everyone with respect. I’m sure you do too.

IMO, that’s mistreating someone based on race. Another-words, it’s very racist.
She will probably be allowed to ask questions at the next Republican Presidential debate.
