Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.
The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available, Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Her confirmation came after Californias new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says those policies put his officers and local communities at more risk because they have to arrest illegal immigrants out in the community.
Mr. Homan told The Washington Times last July that he wanted to see local officials charged as complicit in human smuggling if they shielded illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies.

There have been variations on this theme going around in the fictional space for years. The earliest one I recall reading was a Reader's Digest book excerpt in 1969 or 1970, wherein the Chicoms have prepositioned nuclear warheads inside eighteen wheelers throughout the United States. On command, the Chinese fire missiles from a hastily erected base on the North Pole, beyond Norad's RADAR horizon. The US, seeing the incoming, coupled with the detonation of the prepositioned nukes, believe it is the Soviets and proceed to launch a devastating counter-strike.
The Chinese get rid of two rivals/enemies at once without losing a man.
This particular scenario seems plausible, but there is no "over the horizon" for our detection systems, so we wouldn't be fooled. I still don't doubt for one second that DoD has gamed these kinds of war plans many times over the last 40 years. I also have no trouble believing 0 and company would expose us to these kinds of dangers if they thought they could make a few billion for their slush funds, such was the nature of the (alleged) man who was our last President.
Why not enforce Congress shall establish an uniform rule of naturalization
Don’t tease me!!
Who knew “LOCK HER UP” could apply to SO MANY of them!
I sure hope so. That’s a lot of stress for a man his age. WHERE are Jared and Ivanka these days? It’s as if they have already hoofed it halfway back to New York City.
I don’t know how he does it. At the recent DACA/immigration meeting every Dem and Republican had a D rating from Numbers USA
He is not/ Lots of stress is on DJT.
Thanks for that.
AGREED
Hallelujah. About time.

MASS VOTER FRAUD REPORT: Eleven California Counties Have More Registered Voters Than Eligible Citizens.....The feds need to step in now!
The unproductive, do-nothing Left loves to pretend that voter fraud doesnt exist, but we keep seeing stories that show just the opposite. Judicial Watch has obtained documents that show that 11 California counties have more registered voters than people eligible to vote!
Breitbart reports:
Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog organization, has sent a letter to California Secretary of State Alex Padilla on behalf of the Election Integrity Project, noting that there are 11 counties in the state with more registered voters, and alleging that the state may be out of compliance with Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).
The letter reads, in part:
NVRA Section 8 requires states to conduct reasonable list maintenance so as to maintain an accurate record of eligible voters for use in conducting federal elections.1 As you may know, Congress enacted Section 8 of the NVRA to protect the integrity of the electoral process. Allowing the names of ineligible voters to remain on the voting rolls harms the integrity of the electoral process and undermines voter confidence in the legitimacy of elections.
As the top election official in California, it is your responsibility under federal law to coordinate Californias statewide effort to conduct a program that reasonably ensures the lists of eligible voters are accurate.
Judicial Watch lays out the specifics: [T]here were more total registered voters than there were adults over the age of 18 living in each of the following eleven (11) counties: Imperial (102%), Lassen (102%), Los Angeles (112%), Monterey (104%), San Diego (138%), San Francisco (114%), San Mateo (111%), Santa Cruz (109%), Solano (111%), Stanislaus (102%), and Yolo (110%). The letter notes that the percentage in L.A. Country may be as high as 144%.
The letter contains a threat to sue the Secretary of State if Padilla does not remove from the rolls persons who have become ineligible to vote by reason of death, change in residence, or a disqualifying criminal conviction, and to remove noncitizens who have registered to vote unlawfully. It gives Padilla 14 days to respond, and 90 days to correct alleged violations of the law.

I have been hollering for months that both the Obama post transition administration and the Clinton Foundation are guilty of racketeering and should be prosecuted under RICO.
Love to see it happen.
About time for what? Bury it deep within the quagmire of the deep state never to be seen again. She cleverly did not say as to WHEN the request was made only that it was made. Hell for all we know it could have been requested 9 months ago.
Tick tock tick tock
Pfl
My thoughts exactly.
Does Abbott get to install new officials?
Oakland City Council voted to order every police officer to refuse to co-operate at any level with ICE.
Alas, you may be right!
How long will it take for a blackrobed criminal to step up and declare enforcing these federal laws against his friends is unconstitutional.?
A jurisdiction I know was pushed to count the members of a party. When they were finished comparing names and addresses the list lost over 20% of its names, not by fraud, but because the lists had not been maintained properly. After my husband died, it took 5 years to get his name off the voter book even thought every year I voted I told them that his name should be removed as he was dead. Just looking at the obituary notices and registered death certificates would be useful.
