Too old for DACA, man who spent 30 years of his life in U.S. is deported (media sob story)

DETROIT — His arms wrapped around his wife and two teenage children, Jorge Garcia's eyes welled up Monday as he looked into their eyes one last time near the entrance to the airport security gate.

His wife, Cindy Garcia, cried out while his daughter, Soleil, 15, sobbed into Garcia's shoulder as they hugged, with two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents keeping a close eye on them.

After 30 years of living in the United States, Jorge Garcia, a 39-year-old landscaper from Lincoln Park, Mich., was deported on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday to Mexico, a move his supporters say is another example of immigrants being unfairly targeted under the Trump administration.

An undocumented family member brought Jorge Garcia to the U.S. when he was 10 years old. Today he has a wife and two children, all of whom are U.S. citizens.

Jorge Garcia had been facing an order of removal from immigration courts since 2009, but under the previous administration, he had been given stays of removal. Because of the Trump administration's crackdown on immigration, in November Jorge Garcia was ordered to return to Mexico.

Yes. Your parents effed you up, not the USA. Imagine your parents faked the deed to some house and took possession of it. And you’ve been living in this house they stole for 30 years. When finally the rightful owner figured out what has happened and comes to claim their property, you can’t be angry at the law or the city. YOUR PARENTS BROKE THE LAW and messed you up.

29,999,999 to go.

There were more anchor babies born last year than citizen births. Consider this then think about that 30 million number again.

It’s a catch-22 scenario. The path to US citizenship requires a green card. If an illegal applies for a green card they must first return to your country, but their entry illegally creates an inadmissibility factor and hence the catch-22.

At this point Mexico probably has nicer living conditions than Detroit.

We all knew they were going to milk this for all they can.
As many know and already mentioned here too, multitudes of families are separated every day by the justice system (jail)’, work situations, military deployments, etc.

And every day some families who can actually choose to have their family accompany their relocations to other countries.

What isn’t being pointed out by these ‘news’ agencies are these are the results of their own actions. Whether staying together or being separated.

I am SOOOOO sick of supposedly professional journalists (actors as Rush mentioned they are now), and politicians (most also actors it would seem), giving these ridiculous statements of ‘children....by no actions of their own’. They know better than that. These are mostly adults who can say they had been here since children. No one is going to challenge them on that.

I know someone who married an illegal alien.

In three or four years, she was eligible for a green card and to start the process toward citizenship.

After she had done so, she left him.

I’m not buying the idea this man couldn’t have done something about his status.

It seems to me he never bothered until it was too late.

“another example of immigrants being unfairly targeted under the Trump administration”

No. Another example of a job robbed from an American citizen for many years by an illegal alien trespasser.

Proper perspective please, Enemedia.

FYI:

Families are NOT being broken up.

The fed gov will place the families with the illegal and ship them together back to whatever country the illegal belongs.

Nothing stops the anchor baby from returning at any time, provided the child is accompanied by an adult with a legal immigration visa, and once of legal age, the US child/adult can return to the us whenever it wants.

He might have registered to vote or someone did so in his name. His voter registration showed he registered January 2014 and is “active” so he, or someone, voted under his name.

We don't forgive bank robbers if they go thirty years without getting caught....message to illegals this is what happens when you break the law.!!! By the way there’s nothing stopping his family from going with him. He can then get in line with the thousands who apply legally and spend years coming here legally.

39 years old is young enough. He can start a new life in Mexico. He brings with him valuable job skills—there's plenty of landscaping and farming to be do down in Mexico! Heck, he's young enough he can even start a new family.

I'm telling you, life is an adventure. What a lucky guy!

Lesson: “Crime does not pay.”

Solution: Don’t come here illegally, because you won’t get to keep the proceeds of that crime forever.

[Similarly, if you rob a bank and start enjoying the wealth, that leisure does not give you a right to keep the stolen money forever.]

I think you have to have some sort of legal status before the marriage.
